Answer: The best size for your build is probably what you have, but if you want a little bigger and still look natural, do only a B cup. If you need a boost in confidence, though, it's best to forego surgery and look at the real reason behind your insecurity. Once you get to the root of that, your breast size may not matter so much. And you'll feel better overall without the price tag.

Question: Breast augmentation? Looking for any women (not young girls who just want bigger boobs) who have had breast augmentation to put those girls back where they belong. Worth it? How much did it cost? Pain factor?

Answer: A better question for you is "why do you want bigger boobs?" It is to give you some self esteem? because society says you don't look attractive without big knockers and you buy into the fad? because you think guys will be more attracted to you if you have bigger boobs? Breast augmentations are elective, cosmetic surgery. Because it's surgery, it will hurt and while you are recovering, you will be in a lot of pain. I've yet to see a "good boob job" that cost less than $10k. And there are plenty of BAD boob jobs out there. In cosmetic surgery, you do get what you pay for and sometimes you get a little less. Everyone who gets it does it for different personal reasons so whether or not it's worth it would depend on the individual. A better question is how much is your personal vanity worth? Is it worth the risk of surgery? Years from now, when your skin loses elasticity and the implants hang like bowling balls in a plastic shopping bag, and give you back problems, will it be worth it?

In the US its about 2500-5000, but does anyone know how much it cost in Korea? I also might want to get breast augmentation as well, how much does that cost in Korea? Answer: I got my eyes done for 1000. He did a good job. Whatever you do, get these procedures done in seoul.

Question: How long after breast augmentation surgery can you normally wear a bathing suit? I am planning on getting breast augmentation surgery in mid may, and was wondering how long it would be until I could wear a bathing suit to go out to the pool. I know it will be a little longer until I can actually get in the water, but I would rather be out there with my friends than stay cooped up in the house.

Answer: Typically, you want you entire incision to be completely healed before dunking it in water, such as a bathtub, hot tub, jacuzzi, or the ocean. The reason is because you don't want water to seep into the incision. if you're thinking about going to a hot tub, be aware that an unusual bacteria may exist in the water if the hot tub is not regularly cleaned. Every plastic surgeon is different, so it's best to ask your particular plastic surgeon for guidelines.

Question: How long before breast augmentation surgery do I have to stop smoking? I am having breast augmentation surgery on 11/07/07. I have to go to my pre-op testing on Saturday and I am scared if I tell them I smoke they won't do the surgery. Obviously, there are some people who have this done that smoke, so how far in advance do I have to stop?

Answer: Stop ASAP! It really impedes your bodies ability to heal itself! There are people that do it all the time that smoke, but your Dr would be in the wrong if he/she did not try to let you know how important this can be to your recovery!! Even cutting back is better than nothing. You are having a MAJOR surgery- please consider completely quitting (I know it's hard, I have been there) or postponing until you are able to. This procedure is no walk in the park for completely healthy non-smokers. Allow yourself the best chance for a quick recovery!!

Question: How long after breast augmentation/implants can I go back to work? I am getting a breast augmentation and am currently pre-consultation. I am a bartender who must lift buckets of ice and glass racks and I was wondering how long after surgery will it take to get back to work! Woman who have had the surgery are encouraged to reply !

Answer: your doctor should tell you when you can start physical activity again. personal guess though, probably 4-6 weeks

Question: Does Breast Augmentation increase the chances to develop breast cancer? I am wanting a breast Augmentation but Breast cancer does run in my family. Just wondering if anyone who has had this done can tell me if it will increase my chances of breast cancer. Answer: Breast implants do not cause breast cancer, but they can delay finding a breast cancer. It is impossible to image all of the breast tissue in a woman with implants. The implant hides quite a bit of breast tissue, so it is harder to find an early breast cancer on these screening mammograms. Also, a woman with no breast implants has a mammogram consisting of 4 exposures. Due to the extra images we take in a woman with implants, your radiation exposure is doubled to 8 exposures. "The x-rays used for mammographic imaging of the breasts cannot penetrate silicone or saline implants well enough to image the overlying or underlying breast tissue. Therefore, some breast tissue (approximately 25%) will not be seen on the mammogram, as it will be covered up by the implant. In order to visualize as much breast tissue as possible, women with implants undergo four additional views as well as the four standard images taken during diagnostic mammography. Answer: Not quite 'natural', but going on the birth control pill, which is a hormone pill containing progesterone and estrogen, is known to increase breast size by quite a bit in most women. However, you should research the side effects and ask your doctor about them. Some side effects can include weight gain, moodiness, improvement or worsening of acne, spotting, and nausea.

Answer: I think it's great that it's available to women, although I have never had one myself. I may later in life after I have children because I want to be able to breast feed. Keep in mind that you lose sensation, as well as the ability to breast feed if you go for the surgery. Plus there is the risk of scarring and other medical problems. They also need to be replaced in the future, so this won't be a one time thing. Just do your research and if it's something you really really want despite all the risks, then go for it. Hope it all works out for you. :)

Question: What is the best area for breast augmentation incisions? I am going in for breast augmentation in a few months, and I was wondering if anyone who has had implants already could give me some advice. I am leaning towards a trans axillary incision (in the armpit) because I definately do not want the subareolar incision (under the nipple). However, they told me that the armpit incision may cause the implants to be further apart. The other site I was deciding on was inframammary (under the breast in that crease). The only problem is that my breasts are so small that I have no crease right now. If anyone has had the transaxillary incision before, please let me know how the results were. I'm excited but I don't want to be making the wrong decision. Okay... I did not ask if it was safe or not. Nor did I want information about medical tourism or plastic surgery in India. :P

Answer: I would highly recommend you refer to the My Cosmetic Surgery Blog, it is well written by a women who has been through it all (and some procedures a few times). She gives great and informative insight into what its like to go through the cosmetic surgery process. Question: What exactly is breast augmentation? Is it the same thing as implants then? I thought breast augmentation makes the breasts perkier but i heard something about they inject an implant what for? Am i getting confused is there another surgery for making the breasts perkier?

Answer: breast augmentation is a general term that covers a wide range of procedures including implants. a breast lift is also breast augmentation but doesn't involve implants

Question: Are some days worse than others following breast augmentation with regards to pain? My g/f recently had breast augmentation (Thursday) the 21st and then had to have emergency surgery Friday the 22nd to drain a hematoma that she had as a result of her initial surgery. She had sub-muscular implant surgery. Today, her 4th day after the second surgery, her pain has been a bit more intense than the previous days......It is still tolerable though. Are some days worse than others or should her pain get better every day?

Answer: I had breast implants put in last July. I can tell you that I was in a lot of pain for the first week and it does seem like the first three to four days are the worst. My advice to her would be to get plenty of rest and try not to become active to soon. Her pain will begin to get better as the days go on...I promise. Tell her to hang in there and she will eventually love what she has done, even though it doesnt seem that way now. Also, look for signs of depression that could be coming soon. My doc told me it was normal and that most women begin feeling down about a week or so after. I hope this helps =) She is lucky to have such a supportive boyfriend!

Answer: That really depends on where you are and what type of breast augmentation you are planning on getting. In Australia, breast enlargement can cost between 6-10 thousand, while a reduction will cost between 9-14 grand, depending on whether you go private, or are eligible for a rebate from medicare. In the US, for an enlargement, I'm fairly sure the cost is around the $6000 - $8000 mark, but I am unsure as to the cost of a reduction. Enlargements are generally much simpler operations than reductions. They leave less scarring, and recovery times are usually quicker. I haven't had breast surgery myself, but I am thinking of a reduction. Go to different doctors and ask questions. Get your facts together before making a decision. If in doubt, put it off. And always use a reputable surgeon.

Answer: The best way to look more natural is to not go too much bigger than your natural size. Otherwise it will look weird on your frame. If it's done by a reputable surgeon, it should look and feel very real. People won't be able to tell unless you tell them.
