Question: Will a lip lift make my top lip bigger? I was wondering because I have a thin top lip, but I don't want to get it done if it won't give me the right results. Has any one had one done themselves or can you find any before and after pictures?
Answer: No I haven't had it done, but many Hollywood celebs have and they look great. Also you could try some make up techniques to get fuller lips.....
Question: Has anyone had a bullhorn (subnasal) lip lift? I had a restylane injection and it lasted 3 days! Anyway, I wanted just a little lift in my upper lip, and I was wondering if anyone has had it done and what they think. This is just for a subtle lift, nothing too dramatic, There aren't too many before and after photos of it. And a good surgeon too, if anyone knows. Thanks!
oh by the way, I've already been to lipaugmentation.com and looked everywhere on the internet. I'm asking someone who actually had it done. A lot of the sites don't have photos of lip lifts, only injections

Question: Can I still lift weights with stitches in my lip? I got about 11 little stitches last night on the inside of my lower, lip but a friend said I can't like lift weights cause of something to so with bloodflow? Is that true?
Answer: just dont lift them with your mouth,
or accidently lift it to hard and into your face.
Question: my sister had a lip lift 9hours ago...? since having it shes vomited twice and is feeling dizzy and faint is there anyone who's had a lip lift and knows if this is normal or not?? she also had it under local anesthetic could it be that that's causing this???
Answer: Sounds like a bad reacton, possibly to the anesthetic. When I had my lip done nothing like this happened, so this doesn't sound good. She should go to the doctors, as it could get worse and make her really sick.
Question: why do people sometimes bite their lip when they lift something heavy? I was just wondering.
Answer: I don't know that people bite their lip, but I've seen people really tense up their lips, so they're kind of pursed, so maybe it looks like they're biting their lips. I know when I lift something really heavy, my lips and most of my face tense up a little bit because I'm trying to focus all my energy and strength on lifting. Idk...
Question: My upper lip feels weird when I lift weights? Whenever I get heavier when I work with dumbells for my shoulders, my upper lip moves upwards like a vacuum's (I know ridiculous), I bite 'em for not to move but it doesnt help. Is it normal? What to do?
Answer: Big fat hairy deal. Its nothing to worry about anyway.
Question: My upper lip feels paralyzed after I lift weights? Whenever I get heavier when I work with dumbells for my shoulders, my upper lip moves upwards like a vacuum's (I know ridiculous) and then I can hardly move it 2-3 hours after the exercise.. Is it normal? What to do?
Answer: Umm u might want o see a doctor
Question: I am considering an "upper lip lift" - any Toronto doctors that specialize in this procedure and have photos? I just don't see a lot about it on the Net. I don't know if it's an uncommon procedure or not, but there certainly aren't a lot of doctors who say they do it, and given we're talking cosmetic surgery, I'd like a list to choose from.
Answer: Please see the webpages for more details and images on "upper lip lift".
Question: Can I Get A Lip Lift/Implants @ 16? My lips are thin due to several problems.
1. Part of my lip in the middle came off because I got dehydrated for a week and it litterally just peeled off. I have a scar there.
2. I've have severe dental problems and my jaw isn't aligned right so it makes my lips look thinner that they are because due to the way my teeth sit on top of each other, they don't get projection. Also do to this, my lips kinda point down and everyone says I look sad.
Anyway, I read about lip lifts and I was wondering where I could find more info on it. Could a lip lift help make my lips bigger and more even again? Can you get a lip lift on your bottom lift? Maybe could it be combined with implants and lift? My lips aren't super thin like Reese Witherspoon or anything but I would like them to look the size they would look if my mouth wasn't messed up. Also is there any way to get surgery to define a cupid's bow? I don't want that fish look. Thanks.
No one would think they're deformed. Just thin. But they don't suit my face right. But I know girls who got injections at 13.
Answer: make an appointment with a plastic surgeon. you're only sixteen but if you're lips are demormed or something they'll fix em for you.
Question: From a behavioural point of view, why do dogs smile (lift their lip and show their teeth, like a snarl)?
I'm not talking about a snarl, not an aggressive act. I'm talking about when a dog is happy to see you, or when you ask them to do something and their body language shows excitement, when their tail wags etc. I was wondering if it might be a submissive thing.
Oh and the dog I'm talking about right now is an English Sheepdog
Answer: My loving and funny, clown of a dog, Maddie, who is a Lab/Pit mix, usually does this on cue. I ask "Where's your smile?!" or "Are you smiling?!" and she really grins, like the Cheshire cat.
She also does this when she is really very happy to see you, or when she is feeling sheepish. She "smiles" more to me than to anyone else and I have been told this can be a submission sign, though I think she knows at this point that it brings us great joy and laughter almost every time she does it, therefore longing to repeat making us happy.
This, though not a good photo, is one of Maddie's many silly 'smiles'. -> http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v681/LuvlePuff/00bigsmile.jpg
It's too bad when she does this to strangers she is often times misjudged. She did this once to a park ranger while we were camping, her whole body wagged at him, and he said "That one looks mean". It wasn't until he got closer that he realized she really was "smiling" and not snarling. Then he gave her a pet and she licked and loved him.
Silly dog.
Question: Permanent upper lip corner lift? My lips are pretty full except the upper ones cornersare inverted. This gives my face very child/cherub like appearance. It is not something I need but rather something I want. I would prefer not to mess around with Botox as I do not have a desire to visit doctor's office every few months. I would prefer an answer from someoneknowledgeable in a field of plastic surgery. When I stand in front of the mirror and slightly lift upper corners my lips look fantastic, just like Scarlet Johanssen.
Answer: go for it. go see your doctor and get started.
Question: how much does it cost for a lip lift?
Answer: about $2000 - $4000 but i don't recommend it because it leaves ugly scars and makes your nose look different. if you must get it done, go to a reputable doctor (dr haworth is one but he is super expensive). dont worry about it....... try make up... cheaper and safer than plastic surgery
Question: Dental filling - can't lift lip / scrunch nose? I had two fillings this morning on an upper right tooth and a lower right tooth. When the dentist gave me the anesthetic shot for my upper tooth I felt a shooting pain all the way up toward my eye. Now, about 9 hours later, most of the numbness is gone, but I can't lift my lip up on the upper right side. Also, when I try to wrinkle my nose, only the left side wrinkles up. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Is it permanent? I plan to call my dentist tomorrow if it doesn't get better, but in the mean time should I worry? Thanks!
Answer: My guess is that when you felt the shooting pain the needle was right on the nerve. This happens infrequently but causes no permanent damage. My guess is that by tomorrow it will be a lot better. Good luck
Question: Is there any nonexpensive lip plumping product i could use for a little lift that really works?

Question: Information on upper lip lifting plastic surgery? Have any of you done the upper lip lifting surgery?(they shorten the distance between the upper lip and the nose by lifting the upper lip, giving it also a fuller look) I'm 24 but I think that would work for me. But I don't know how successful this is. I've never heard anybody done this. I googled it and there was a few sites concerning to this.I thought maybe it is still a theory?
Answer: I guess you think of surgery because it's more permanent than injection which last 6 months or so
LIP LIFT SURGERY = make sure you get a good doctor or you will end up with permanent funny lips
FULLER LIPS = you can also enhance them by collagen injection, Restylane
I think surgery sound save more money long term but I think same as face lift meaning hard to fix it (if you compare to filler injection)... I google and think it's ok if YOU HAVE A REALLY GOOD DOCTOR
good luck
Question: Is it possible to perform a lip lift by myself in my house? Lets be honest, i'm a semi-poor Male to Female transsexual, ok? that's my story.
anyway, all I would have to do is cut a piece of skin above the upper lip, and stitch it back up on my own... isn't that better than spending a few thousand dollars to get surgery done?
I mean, if i just get the right sterilized materials, i should do just fine, right?
Please i'm serious about this, because it looks so simple to do, i don't want to spend all that money. what do you think? is it possible to do the surgery in my house or is that illegal and unsafe?
Answer: Don't even THINK about it. Whether it's legal in your area or not, it's very unsafe, and pretty damn stupid.
Facial surgery of this sort is not something that a layperson can do; it's not even something that most surgeons can do.
Plastic surgeons who do this sort of procedure have had many years of training to make it look so simple; they know the anatomy, in detail, they have the techniques, and they have the skills necessary to perform this surgery with minimal scarring, infection, or loss of function.
The upper lip, like any part of your face, contains many small muscles and nerves; damage any of them and you will be disfigured, probably permanently.
From some of your other questions, it seems you haven't begun hormone therapy yet, so you probably haven't even started facial hair removal either; both of those will make a considerable difference to your appearance. Give them a chance before you consider any sort of facial surgery.
Question: Has anyone(young) done lip lift(plastic surgery)? First of all I'm 23.And I would like to have more information from the persons who had this type of plastic surgery.I don't know how successful this is.And there is not much info, out there in the internet.Do you know any useful site?Thank you all!
Answer: My aunt did it, she looks like a fish now
make sure you get a good dr
Question: Lip Lift Doctors? Who are the Doctors preforming this surgery?
Answer: Do you mean vulvar lips? There are all kinds of docs who are ALLOWED to perform it, but you don't want to get just anyone. Frankly, I'd strongly discourage you from getting such surgery. There's no point to it, and you could be damaging yourself. But if you are determined, then go to someone board certified, and who has done a lot of procedures already.
Question: lift up one lip while talking...how to stop? when i talk i lift up my right side of my lip more so its like higher then my left and its really kinda weird, so does anyone know how to stop doing that so my lips are more even while i talk? thnx
Answer: Go with it. It's unique! Most people have little quirks like that. When I get really, really excited (before a race...I used to street race) my lower lip would quiver.
If you're really bothered. Watch yourself speak in the mirror. Figure out when you do it. Is it on certain letters or if you talk fast/are excited, etc? Practice speaking slowly and make sure to articulate your words. Also, stretch out your lips (not with your hands) often by making different shapes with them, moving them side to side, etc. Eventually you should gain control of your mouth muscles and stop doing your lip thing.
Question: Can a 11 month old get an upper lip frenotomy? I just noticed that my daughter upper lip frenum is connected all the way behind her two front teeth. It is causing her front teeth to gap which doesn't bother me but you can't lift her lip and I don't want it to cause her problems later in life. Has anyone had this done? What are the pros and cons if any.
Answer: earlier the better or she will need braces as well, but 11 months is too early. Wait till her permanent teeth comes out.
