Question: Scar......................................................? Scar's.what color should a scar be when it heals. cause mine is still rather pink and gets purple when its cold and I noticed when I have a few beers it gets really red and its a rather long scar on my arm like 7 inches. It sucks and it's already been 2 years healing. Has anyone has this experience with a scar.
Answer: its unusual that it stays pinkish for so long, but it depends on your general tone of skin - fair skin stays longer pinkish. It will probably become better through the summer, but if you feel uncomfortable with it I recommend going to a plastic surgeon. They have the best experiances and treatment (e.g. creams or plasters) to make scars disappear. But it is important that you go to an approved surgeon, because in this field are many windy doctors...
The cram might cost a ittle, but its deffinitely working
Good luck to you

Question: How do i get rid of an old scar on my arm caused by a blade.? I cut my arm with a blade about 2 years ago, the scar is right in the middle of my arm and its white. Not sure what type of scar this is but does anyoneee have any creams or tips to minimize this, its an old scar and i really dont wanna spend or undergo surgeries. Yet i hate it and want it to go :( any help appreciated!
Answer: Buy a boottle of Vitamin E Oil. It's cheap, so you can get the 56,000 units (the more units the better it is) and apply faithfully every day. Apply at least twice a day and 3 or 4 times if possible. It will take a while, but you've lived with it this long. Just try to get the pure kind that has no other oils combined with it. If it is not thick, it usually has safflower oil in it and that weakens it because it's just another softening additive. It's about $3 to $5 at Walmart or any drugstore.
Question: Scar removal treatment that gets rid of acne scars the best? I have a scar removal gel that works GREAT for my stretch marks and other scars, but I've yet to see this dramatic or any improvement in my acne scars.
They're mostly on my forehead and some on my chin. They're raised, not indented, if that means anything.
I don't mind spending a little more money or waiting a month or to for a quality product that WORKS.
Would rather not have any procedures or surgeries, but I'll keep an open mind.
Thanks!
Answer: Steph !
# pply sandalwood paste with rosewater and leave it overnight over the scars. You can even apply a mixture of sandalwood paste and black gram paste.
# For dark acne scars use lemon juice. Before applying, clean the scars with warm water and dab 1 tsp of lemon juice into a cotton ball and apply it on the scars and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Make sure to apply sunscreen prior to going out in the sun as lemon juice makes your skin photosensitive.
# Cucumber with lemon juice or honey with lemon juice also helps. Honey also helps for chicken pox scars. However people with oily skin should avoid the use of honey.

Question: What is scar tissue and what causes a person to get scar tissue in their shoulder? I was told today that I have scar tissue in my shoulder. I have had no major injury to my shoulder.
Answer: When you loose or gain some weight, this usually happens. This happened to me on my knees when I lost weight.
Question: What would a scar look like for an appendectomy that happened when the appendix leaked but not fully ruptured? How would a surgeon perform an appendectomy on someone whose appendix started to leak into their intestines, but didn't fully rupture? I know there are two types of surgeries, and I was wondering what the scar would look like in this scenario? Like how big and stuff?
Answer: If the appendix was leaking around / outside the intestines (would not be into them), it means it has ruptured.
Whatever the case, most appendicectomies in my part of the world are done laparoscopically - this means one cut below the belly button approximately 15mm, and two other cuts 5mm long.
For a non-laparoscopic appendicectomy, there would be a cut in your lower right abdomen between 30mm and 120mm long.

I'd like a 100 percent improvement, but I could settle for a 70. Where can I get before and after pictures of laser scar removal?
Answer: certainly they may have this facility. one sitting may cost 2000rupees.
Question: How can you get rid of a scar at home quick? I have a scar on my leg it has completely healed it used to be about four inches long now its about two and a half inches long. The scar it white now but is there anything i can do to get rid of it.The scar is slightly raised but not much at all. I really don't like this scar and i just want to get rid of it.
Is there a way to make it come off all the way?
Answer: No, there is no method that will remove a scar completely. Surgical removal will leave another scar and laser therapy can only do so much...and, with both methods, results are not guaranteed.
The only thing you can do to get rid of a scar -Quickly- is to cover it with a good makeup made for concealing scars.
A longer-term treatment is to use Vitamin E. Not just any Vitamin E, but actual U.S.P. grade Vitamin E capsules (that are usually taken by mouth). Cut open an end of the capsule and rub into the scar daily. This will soften the scar and over time, helps the appearance of the scar.
Another method is to use lemon juice, which lightens the scar. since your scar is whitish already, I would not recommend it unless you already have naturally very pale skin around the scar.
Mederma (based on molecules found in onions which also lighten skin) is an over-the-counter treatment...but did not work for me.
Question: What can I do to get rid of a facial scar? My 2 year old nephew recently had a cut extending from his cheek to his chin, and it left a nasty scar. I know that scars can bring on some emotional troubles in the future along with feelings of insecurity in children.
What can I do help mend the scar before he gets older?
I'm sorry, I should have said this before. There was no stitching.
Answer: I recommend using herbal cream like Zenmed Scar and Hyperpigmentation Treatment:

Question: Scar removal, is it possible to be rid of a scar completely? I was bit by a dog and I was wondering if it is ever possible remove the scar above my eye completely.
I know there are techniques like dermabrasion etc. but will they ever be removed completely?
And how about stretch marks?
Like I don't have scars like Seal, but can can you ever get rid of those ones as well?
Answer: Permanent removal comes about only with laser resurfacing, I believe. Other methods help reduce size but don't usually remove scars.
Question: Is it possible to tattoo over scar tissue? I am planning on getting a tattoo, but the area of my body on which I plan to get it is heavily scarred in places due to a mis-spent youth. I was just wondering: a) is it possible to tattoo over scar tissue? & b) does the scarring adversely affect the look of the tattoo in any way?
Answer: it is possible to tattoo over scars but depending on how the scar is (raised, smooth, darkly colored, jagged etc) it may or may not come out looking like the rest of the skin. also i wouldn't just go to anybody to have it done. i would only trust a extremely talented artist to tatoo over a scar because as i understand it the texture of the skin is different and somewhat more difficult to tattoo over. the best thing you can do is to consult an artist. good luck!
Question: How can I get rid of scars without buying tubes and tubes of scar-fixing cream? I have a bunch of old scars from poison ivy, bug bites, knee scrapes, etc on my legs. I have bought scar removing or at least diminish creams in the past, but they haven't done much. Is there something else I could do? Perhaps a home remedy or something? Or is there a cream that works within the first few uses?
Answer: It takes at least six months of using a scar minimizing cream four times per day in order to see serious results on old scars. Eight weeks for new scars, but even then I'd still use them. Still, they'd only be minimized, but if you looked closely they'd still be visible. I like Mederma.
Arnica gel does amazing things rather quickly with bumps and bruises. Calendula helps with to smooth out scars. Either way you go, it's going to take dedication to consistently use the products you buy.
Question: How to remove a scar from materials I can find at home? I have a scar that I want to remove... I've looked for answers all over the internet. Most say you have to buy a product but I want to remove my my scar from materials I can find at home. Any one have a simple solution?
Answer: Rub a 2/3 combination of calimine lotion, Vitamin E, and vinegar over it 5 times a day for 3 weeks.
Question: How to heal a scar that has a hole in it? I have a relatively large and deep scar on my face from a surgical procedure. I read that lemon helps reduce the redness of scarring and decided to try it. I tried it once and the scar diminished slightly. I did it again and now there is a hole within my scar. It makes my scar appear more red and it is difficult to make it look natural when I conceal it with make up because the hole does not tend to cover up.
Is there any simple and natural way of healing this?
Thank you!
Answer: There are some prescription creams your doctor can give you to help with the healing if you want to ask. See if they have any samples. I'd try that first. (Sorry, I know that's not simple or natural.)
Basically, it can take up to a year for a deep scar to finally finish its whole process of development and strengthening of that part of your skin. It will keep changing for a while, which probably means that hole will go away. It depends on how long it's been since the procedure. What you're waiting for is collagen to line up and organize itself. I believe the thinking behind the lemon juice is that it has vitamin C, which helps form bonds between the collagen, and it's thought to fade the scar as well. It is very acidic though, which might be causing irritation.
I would say you should take a multivitamin every day to make sure you don't miss any of the vitamins needed for healing (vitamin C, zinc, vitamin E will all be included in that). You can also get vitamin C solutions/creams at the drug store to replace the lemon juice you were using. There are tons of them, and some of them are pretty cheap (less than $10). There are also lots of scar fading creams and pads that you could think about trying, but they can get very pricey. I'd look at drugstore.com for the top-rated ones. They definitely have natural options on there. And, lastly, don't forget to put extra sunscreen on your scar! I'm not sure what your skin tone is, but sometimes people think that getting tan fades the scar... and it may make the scar less noticeable but it's only a temporary fix. They regret it in the long run when the rest of the face loses its color and they have a nicely tanned scar.
Good luck!
Question: How can I convince my parents that a scar is better than a mole? My parents don't want me to get mole removal done because of the possibility of scarring. The mole is black, raised, and on my face. It hate it, I know it looks gross. Apparently in their culture it is a "beauty mark" and they think a scar will look"unnatural". I'd much rather have a small scar that you can conceal with makeup than a large hideous raised black mole. It is also starting to get more raised.
Answer: You can have it frozen off. It will not leave a scar. It's a fairly simple procedure, I've had it done a few years ago.
Question: What scar treatment would be best to fade a scarred belly button piercing? I got my bellybutton pierced about a year ago and it was rejecting so I decided to remove it. The only problem is that the top ball from the jewelry left an obvious scar that I would like to get rid of. I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for scar treatments that have been successful. Thanks!
Answer: I've had plenty of scars from acne, cuts, and scrapes and I've gotten rid of them in about 8-12 months. I know it's a long time but it's worth it.
I used a product that can be bought at any drug store without prescription called Bio-Oil. It removes stretch marks and scars. It evens help the skin get an even skin tone, helps aging skin and it hydrates the skin.
If the scar was recent, it may take about 3-4 months (applied twice a day) for the scar to fade away, but if it's an old scar (like mine) it could take up to a year.
If you can't find Bio-Oil, you can use Vitamin E Oil (no prescription as well). It helps scars fade away overtime.
Good luck and I hope I've helped you. :D
