Plaque

A sticky film on the surface of the teeth containing bacteria that contributes to tooth decay and gum disease

Question: What is the plaque or snot between your front teeth at night time? I wake up especially in winter with plaque or phlegm or snot between my front two big teeth. What is this? Is this some sort of snot most likely? I dont understand how a huge chunk of plaque could just form on one part of the mouth and not on other teeth.

Answer: I have never heard of this happening, nor does it happen to me. It doesnt sound like a serious health problem though. The next time you visit a doctor, bring it up and see what he has to say. If I had to guess, I'd assume if you slept with your mouth open, mucus might drip down your nose and collect on your front teeth. Do you brush your teeth regularly and floss? What color is this phlegm you speak of?
