Oculoplastic

Pertaining to plastic surgery around the eyes

Question: is an Eyelid Plastic Surgery the ultimate solution for a Chalazion? Hello, I've had a chalazion on my right upper eyelid for already 9 months. It is small so my ophthalmologist refuses to do anything else on it (I've been through surgery, pills, warm compresses, creams, shot of cortisone and many more things) but I really want it to go away since it makes me feel very insecure. Researching on internet, I've learned an Oculoplastic could help me. Is this the ultimate solution? Would very much appreciate your feedback. Thank you

Answer: After 9 months, and not responding to usual therapy, consider having it removed by an oculoplastic surgeon. Would have them send it to pathology to be sure it is not a small skin cancer.
