Fat Grafting
A surgical procedure to remove fat from one area of the body, and reinsert it into another area to improve contour; also called fat injections
Question: Fat Grafting? Can anyone give me some information on fat grafting on lips for lip augmentation? Do they have to harvest fat from somewhere else or something? Also what about breast augmentation that transplants fat into the breasts from other areas of the body? What do those results look like, what's recovery time, pain, scarring, ect? Will getting fat injected into the breast make the breasts sag less like implants would because that's my main problem-sagging? I'd like to go from a c cup to a d/dd cup. Don't post anything about be happy with yourself or c cup breasts are big enough. Just answer my questions. Thanks.
I bit off part off part of my lip a few months ago and it's not going to grow back so I need to get my lip fixed. Also my breasts developed really quickly (I had c cups in elementary school) so they sag badly and I can't go even an hour without wearing a bra. I deserve to have a normal looking body.
That's why I was wondering if fat transplanting into the breasts would stop the sagging as same as implants would.
Answer: Love your self! I have extremely full lips but girl! I wear like te smallest bra size they make. Like 28A. But an A is too big!
Ehrm ok?Then get plastic surgery on your lips. and uhh IDK wat you have to do about your sagging.
Question: How old do you have to be to get fat grafting done? I really am interested in getting that done since it's using your own fat and doesn't seem as bad as silicone and all that junk but I need to know the age requirement. Do you think 17 is way too young? or is it still possible to get it done?
Answer: I had too much fat in all the wrong zones until I tried out acai berry, I know they say that pills don't work, but they certainly worked for me, and they have been shown on CNN too. There is a free trial going on currently at http://yinast.yourslimmingregime.info , why not try it, what is the worst that could happen?
Question: Is fat-grafting/fat injections from one area of body to another (cheeks, etc) a permanent procedure? I just had fat removed from my belly and injected into my cheeks, and I'm hoping that this is a permanent procedure. I was TOLD that it was and what not, and I'd hate to feel like I was lied to.
Any advice?
Thanks.
Answer: Yes it is a permanent procedure. The entire volume of fat injected may not survive and some will be reabsorbed, but the majority of it will stay

Question: Anyone ever had fat grafting to their face? I am a female 55yrs and having fat transfers done to my face. Would you please share your experiences with me. I'm a little nervous
Answer: I can relate to this. See after the age of 18 (when i graduated high school) it was like fat naturally filled my face in. People asked me if i had this procedure you are talking about done but i didn't. And no i didn't gain that much weight too. i was 165 lbs when i was 18 now i am 170 lbs. I think it made me look better, because i use to have a skeleton face (very boney),and it my nose look so long, now it looks perfect!
I wish you all the best though!

Question: Fat Grafting to Lips? Hi has anyone had fat grafting done to their lips?
Were you happy with the results? how long has it lasted? would you reccomend it to have fuller lips? was it painful and what is the recovery period like?
Thanks heaps
Victoria
Answer: You know, the current trend for full lips is temporary. Fashions and fads come and go. Not worth going to all that trouble and expense, and surgery is always painful.
Question: If you are from NC or SC, do you remember a piece on the news about micro fat grafting from like 2004?? It was about a Dr. named Thomas L. Roberts in SC and the news interviewed one of his patients who was going to get butt augmentation done. It was in 2004 sometime, I think early in the year. She said something about not wanting to be a stick and she had no butt. Does anyone from that area remember that interview? If so, where can I get a copy?
Answer: I remember that.
Question: is "fat grafting" surgery available/affordable? My question is about a proceedure where fat is taken from one part of your body (example- buttocks/belly) & placed into another location on you (example-breasts). I know very little about this surgery other than it's sometimes called 'Fat grafting'. Does anyone know anything about it like how/where one can have it done & how much it may cost?..Even if it's real or not? Any info at all?
(Please no critisism)
Answer: The words "surgery" and "affordable" are not compatible, especially if it is a cosmetic procedure.
Good luck, my friend.
Question: Modesto, CA area- anyone know of a good plastic surgeon who does facial fat grafting?

Question: do you think the cost of fat grafting (for breasts) will go down in the next few years? i've heard there is a rising alternative for breast implants that involves taking fat from another part of your body and putting it into your breasts, making them a l little fuller but still using a natural material. not only do i like the idea of using fat as opposed to plastic...but i believe it's more fitting for the type of enhancement i'm going for. which is not an increase in cup size so much as a filler to fill in a small portion of loose skin and result in a small lift as well. because it seems to require fat grafting it is VERY expensive....though once they've perfected the operation, i imagine a LOT of women will be going after THIS procedure instead of implants, so they'll have to make it affordable right? anyone have any opinions on this?
Answer: i think its unlikely to be honest. it will be in fact the opposite at first, because they will need money for tests, new equipment etc etc and not many people will be doing it. its only when its starts to become popular that the price might go down, or they may keep it the same to make money, or to buy equipment needed, hire doctors etc, if its that popular they will need supplies.
i mean, if you think about it the cost for implants has never really gone down, so i doubt this will either. if it does, im thinking 10 years ahead or more.
dont forget it will take time to perfect the operation anyway, and for women to trust it and go for it. at least a few years.
sorry!

Question: Who is a well known Fat Grafting doctor for arms?
Answer: Before you take the advice of the above answer you might want to check out this site that shows pics of clients that have made complaints about Dr. Sydney Coleman. It wouldn't hurt.
http://www.patient-support-group.com/
Our support group consists of a growing number of dissatisfied patients that have had procedures done by Dr. Sydney Coleman. Our primary goal is to provide a support network for these patients and discuss options for corrections.
We are not affiliated with any health care professionals and we are not interested in selling any services. We are a group of former patients sharing our knowledge and experience in an effort to help other patients.
If you are a former Dr. Sydney Coleman patient, please contact us for more information.
Patient Photos and Complaints http://www.patient-support-group.com/001…
Recently, a website associated with Dr. Coleman has posted a direct response to our support group website and suggests that the information we are providing is not accurate. As a result, we will soon be posting detailed information about malpractice lawsuits and other complaints filed
against Dr. Coleman. Until this information is available, we suggest that any patient interested in obtaining more information simply ask Dr. Coleman the following questions and get the answers "in writing".
1) How many medical malpractice lawsuits have been filed against Dr. Coleman since he began practicing medicine? (please note that we are not asking for the number of guilty verdicts or settlements to patients, but rather, the total number of malpractice lawsuits filed against him, regardless of various outcomes)
2) How many patients have filed complaints with the New York State Department of Health, any other New York State Department, or a similar department in any other state (again, the question asks how many complaints were filed, not about settlements or verdicts)?
3) How many more dissatisfied patients has Dr. Coleman had since he began practicing medicine? (our group has corresponded with many dissatisfied patients who, for various personal reasons, have elected not to pursue legal action or file public complaints).
Again, we suggest that you obtain answers to these questions "in writing".
The response also goes on to say that the pictures on our site create an unfair representation. We disagree. We believe that the only thing that is "unfair" is what happened to these innocent
patients...
May the good spirits be with you,
Michelle

Question: does anyone know about fat grafting (butt implants)? when the fat is transfered tp your buttocks, does it stay??? is it safe?? How painful is it? What is the price for it?
Answer: To be honest, fat is not well supported by connective tissue. Therefore, your butt will droop down with time. That's not a good thing. Try building some muscle in your butt first. I know there's some other types of butt implants for women, exactly like breast implants.
Question: Has anyone tried fat grafting to enhance the buttocks (including fat injections)?
Answer: No if I want a big As* all I have to do is the right exercises.
Question: can i get lipo and the fat put into my bottOm,called buttocks fat grafting on the NHS? Iv tried EVERYTHING to lose weight and nothing works iv always been big and it keeps me misersable also have a flat bottom to add to the problem. I know people can get their breasts done on the NHS but would it be the same for my situation, having a flat bum is just as depressing and effects the self asteem just as much as it does having flat breasts and i know a few people that had breast implants on the NHS. I need to lose my weight and gain a bum desperatly and dont want inplant want the fat taken from somewhere else and put in another area but have NO money and this is effecting my personality and whole life. PLEASE HELP PROFFESSIONALS
Answer: hey
this would be very hard to get on the NHS but it would not be impossible.
you would have to make an appointment with your GP and do your best to convinse him how much yo need this operation. Dont just say "i don like my flat bum` tell him how depresse you are about this and exagerate and lie your head off
tell him that you find it hard to have a relationship because your so self concious and basicly make it sound like you are on the brink of insanity.
yo may want to practice crying aswell lol
i dont want to get your hopes up because it would be very hard to do, lets just hope you have a symapthetic GP.
If all else fails, you could save up for a long time, or get a personal trainer at the gym, thry will be able to show you some excersises that will tone your stomach and add muscle to your bum.
if you do decide to go ahead with this operation do a LOT of recearch and make sure that this is 100% something you want.
Its also worth bearing in mind that there are sometimes complications during surgery.
hope i helped and good luck.

Question: Has anyone had experience with fat graft lip augmentations? Does it look natural? How long does it last? The procedure utilizes your own fat, taken from the abdomen or buttocks. I've heard it lasts longer than collagen and, from the pictures I've seen, it seems to look better too.
Answer: Go to this excellent site RealSelf.com.
Site is used by many hundreds who have undergone a wide range of cosmetic treatments and plastic surgery and some who have had lip augmentations. Some share online their assessments of the treatments, good and bad and give treatment costs.
Some say they regretted having the treatment and/or that is was not worth it and some submit before and after photos.
.
You can also ask specific detailed questions online (it's free) and many board certified medical experts - doctors, top notch plastic surgeons, etc. who participate voluntarily and receive no payments(so it's unbiased) will respond online. You can also have direct contact with those who respond.
