Breast Implant Revision
Surgery to enhance the appearance of breasts with surgery on the implant pocket, or replacement of the implant itself
Question: has anyone ever had breast revision after breast augmentation? i had breast augmentation 4 mo. ago and my breasts haven't gone down, only a couple of inches. My doctor had suggested to re-do the surgery at no cost from him, but i must pay the surgical fees and for the anesthesia. He's planning to cut the muscle below my breast, which will in turn loosen up the breast and help the implant to fall back in place. did anyone EVER had this done? any advice will help, thanks..
Answer: Breast augmentation is a complex procedure, although it is assumed simple in nature and execution. One should give attention to details and proper surgical techniques are most essential for good results. Breast implants do not last forever, revisions is needed. The three common reasons for revisions –
To change implant size, to improve the appearance of the breasts, to correct the capsular contracture, due to problems with the patient’s tissue characteristics, or else there may be problem with the implant process.

The process will help you to improve the shape and there is nothing to worry within a few days you can resume your normal daily activities.
Good luck.
Question: breast implants and scar revision ?? can you do monthly payments on breast implants and scar revision?? how much would they be monthly?
Answer: Yes, some places allow monthly payments, I would estimate several hundred dollars a month and there is also a monthly interest rate.
Question: right breast implant higher than left! please help!? I got my implants 1 1/2 years ago. they are 500cc High Profile, smooth, round, saline, sub muscular. anyways pre-operation they were symetrical, and even, and up until now they have been perfect. 3 months ago I started weight training/cardio exercise 5 days a week. 2 months ago I started running, and now I run 2 miles a day 5 days a week. I now weigh 120 lbs at 5'4 and my body has transformed beautifully. But when I was taking my "after" pictures, I noticed one breast slightly lower than the other. so i went to my plastic surgeon, and he told me he can "fix" it by doing a pocket revision on the lower breast, and basically stitch the lower breast up on the inside to match the right one. I think that my right breast muscle is stronger/tighter than the left therefore holding the implant higher. so my question is has this happened to you? do you think that if I do more lift work on my left chest muscle that it will "catch up" to the right? I don't want surgery to fix this. thanks much!
sorry I don't feel comfortable posting my pictures. But i do appriciate the supportive feedback.and I'm not asking for sympathy, just some advice. thanks.
Answer: It makes logical sense... you should give it a try. If it doesn't work, then you will probably have to get the surgery to fix it. I wish you luck.
Question: Is there a bra that 'minimizes' breast implants? I got breast implants in my waiflike early 20s and they looked totally normal. Now, 11 years later and 30 pounds heavier, they are huge! Nothing is wrong with the implants themselves; it's just that when I gained weight, my real boobs got bigger on top of my fake boobs and now they are TOO big. Revision surgery isn't an option right now. I've tried squashing them down with sports bras, but that looks weird under most of my clothes. Please help!
Answer: Bali makes a great minimizer. Four hooks in the back for good support too.
Question: Important breast reduction question! Revisions? I am an 18 year old that had a breast reduction done about a year ago. I am really not at all happy with the results, not one bit.
The biggest complaint that I have is the measurement that I am down to. My surgeon and I agreed on a specific cup size to go down to, and he brought me 3 sizes lower. The shape is also not as good as it was right after the surgery.
My insurance company covered the entire procedure, and revisions are free. I was wondering if anyone on here knew if breast implants count as a revision? Is there any way that I can increase the size and improve the shape of my breasts and have it covered as part of the original surgery?
I have been thinking about this for about half of a year now.
Thanks in advanced! [=
Answer: Sadly, your first mistake was getting a breast reduction... But now that it's done...
The long and short of this, is that it's up to your insurance company and you need to go talk with them. I'd say that it's probably not under their normal "revisions" to put in implants, but if you're having undone emotional stress due to the removal of to much breast tissue, there may be a case. Also, look into how much the doctor removed as in CC's worth, make sure that he didn't have to remove as much as he did to get it covered, I know that's one of the "tricks" that doctors and insurance companies play is tha they have to remove X amount of tissue to count... which normally counts as about 4 cup sizes, so if that's more than what they removed, I'm a little curious to how big you were to start out with. They could try to do a lift... Though, at this point I think you're better off finding a different surgeon and get getting implants put in, as I don't think you'd have enough tissue left to make you happy...
Please spread the word on to your fellow family, friends, online boards about your experience. I'm saddened to see so many women want to look skinny, and several of my friends have also had surgery only to have second thoughts no more than 2-6 months from the operation.
Question: What should someone expect when getting breast implants? A friend of mine is going for implants, and like anyone she is nervous! I'd like to hear from some women who have gotten their breasts done. Was the pain after the surgery severe? What was the worst part? Was it hard and/or painful to do daily activities, dressing, brushing your teeth, using the restroom, showering etc? Did you have any complications or need any revisions? Did you finds your back in pain from going up in breast size? My friend is only going to a C FYI. Did you have any complications with the Anesthesia? did you have to buy new shirts, if not any tips on still fitting your old ones? Did you have any issues with areola stretching? Also have any of you had implants put behind the muscle? If so did you find this to be painful? How was your experience with this part of the procedure? That is the procedure she is going for so i am hoping for some feed back on that. I think that's it. ANY help with be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time!
