Mole
A benign growth on the skin that is usually pigmented; also called a nevus
Question: mole???????? umm is there any way you can make your mole turn into your skin color, is there any kind of cream like a bleach for face moles???
uhhh i have a mole on the left corner of my forehead and i hate it even though my bangs cover it, i want it to be less noticeable but how??? help
Answer: There are lots of good makeup cover ups that will make it disappear. You don't want to bleach or mess with a mole. They occasionally can change and become cancerous so you shouldn't try to have them removed or altered. Look for a makeup designed to cover scars.
Question: MOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? I have this bumpy mole on my back that is abnormally darker than normal moles. Plus it is really bumpy and oddly shaped. I just discovered it tonight while I was taking a shower. I had one on my arm previously before I got it removed. It was really similar to the one I have now on my back. I mean I'm making an appointment to get it checked, however I was wondering what it might be? Or what I should expect/suspect? Let me know people.
Answer: is it growing hair out of it? thats good that you are seeing a doctor i was just about to suggest that. :)
Question: How likely are moles to return to the same holes if you flood their mole holes with a garden hose? I did this a week ago and saw a mole run into the bushes. I think that the holes are now vacant bc I flooded them again and waited and no more moles came out.
Answer: When you flood the hole , you are supposed to plug the other end so they don't run out or you will keep having trouble with them.
EDITED: Sophie, you have got to be kidding. You have obviously never had moles. NOOOOOOBODY WANTS them! We have voles & shrews right now that have completely destroyed 30 asparagus plants. Can't seem to get rid of them Their tunnels or holes aren't so easy to flood bacause they run along top of ground, so tunnel has several holes in it. I also planted 150 lillies last fall & there's not a trace of any of them. Moles, Voles, or Shrews. You had to know you were gonna get some reprucussion from that answer.
Question: How does the mole relate to ions and molecules? I can understand that there are 6.02x10^23 atoms in one mole, but what about in a molecule or an ion, then how many of each are in one mole? Or is my definition of the mole just wrong?
Answer: A mole is just 6.02 x 10^23 things. It could be atoms, molecules, etc.
Question: What is the mole fraction of isopropyl alcohol in the solution? What is the mole fraction of water? A 100.0-g sample of a brand of rubbing alcohol contains 67.9 g of isopropyl alcohol, C3H7OH, and 32.1 g of water. What is the mole fraction of isopropyl alcohol in the solution? What is the mole fraction of water?
Answer: moles C3H7OH = 67.9 g/60.096 g/mol=1.13
moles water = 32.1 / 18.02 g/mol=1.78
mole fraction C3H7OH = 1.13 / 1.13 + 1.78=0.388
mole fraction water = 1.78 / 1.13 + 1.78=0.612
Question: How to melt chicken mole from the jar? I am going to attempt to make chicken mole in a crock pot but I want to try melting the mole prior to so that I can just throw it in with my chicken broth and chicken. In the past, when I cooked chicken mole on the stove, I tried melting it in a pot on the stove but it just jumped up like peanut butter. Has anyone ever melted it successfully before cooking it with the chicken and broth?
Also, do you know how to remove the lid? My husband usually does it but he is already asleep.
Answer: Put the Mole in a double boiler, add 1 1/2 cups chicken broth. After 20 minutes mix and smooth mixture. Dont add just tap water, but broth is the best. But stir as it warms.
Question: How do I remove a mole from my yard? The mole is in my yard & my neighbors.
Right along the fence line.
Are there any cheap & effective ways of ridding this monster? If not cheap then I'll take any other ideas.
I am not a mole-lover & not against killing it. And I have no way of telling if this is one mole or more than one.
I've poured Dcon down some of the tunnels I've found - will that work?
Answer: Pound a thin metal pipe into the ground. Put a whirligig in the pipe. As the whirligig spins it makes the pipe put vibrations into the ground and moles will move on.
Question: How big is a mole? Help me put moles in perspective, like how much space would a mole of bowling ball occupy? How big is a mole? Help me put moles in perspective, like how much space would a mole of bowling ball occupy? How many times would a mole of 5 ft people stacked head to toe stretch around the earth?
Can you show the dimensional analysis set up you used to get the answer, thanks for your help!

Question: What is the mole fraction of isopropyl alcohol in the solution? A 100.0-g sample of a brand of rubbing alcohol contains 66.2 g of isopropyl alcohol, C3H7OH, and 33.8 g of water. What is the mole fraction of isopropyl alcohol in the solution?
What is the mole fraction of water?
Answer: 1) use the periodic table to work out Mr for water (H2O) and C3H7OH.
2) moles=mass/Mr
3) Use 2 to get moles of each component
4) mole fraction = moles of component/total number of moles.
Question: What could make a mole start to go away? My husband has a mole and it started to get bigger a couple of years ago. Now all of a sudden it is going away. It looks like a bunch of smaller moles. The area of it is getting smaller each day.
Answer: I really can not tell you what the cause of the changes of the mole is. I would very much encourage your husband to please make an appointment with a dermatologist right away and keep it. Sometimes people may develop cancer of the skin which is very serious. I am not trying to diagnose the mole. I am not a doctor. I do know that melanoma is extremely serious.
Question: Can an answer be calculated when given a mole fraction without a total mole concentration? If I am given a mole fraction of 0.54 for A and 0.23 for G for one strand of a double helix and asked to find the composition on the same strand for T, C and T+C and then the composition for all base pairs on the other strand can I do that without knowing the complete mole concentration? Do I assume that the total mole concentration is 77? HELP!
Answer: It doesn't matter what the total mole is. If the mole fraction for A is 0.54, that means the strand is 54% A. It is 23% G. T+C is 100 - (54+23). 23% (or 0.23). For the other strand, since A pairs with T, it will be 54% T. 23% C. 23% A+G.
Question: What is a good analogy for the mole concept? I know what a mole is. I just need to know what it is in relation to concentration, etc.
Say if moles is a unit of measurement of people in a country, then what is the concentration in mol dm-3 or g dm-3 and what are the other terms in relation as well? I can't quite remember what it is now but you know what I mean if you've studied this before.
Or maybe another system where concentration (in mol or g/dm3), moles are related.
Answer: A dozen is 12 of something, while a mole is 6.02e23 of something.
The molarity of something is the number of moles of solute molecules dissolved in one liter of solution. So a 2M solution has 2*6.02e23 solute molecules per liter of solution.
Question: How many moles of ATP will you get for 1 mole of FADH2 that is reoxidized by the electron transport chain? How many moles of ATP will you get for 1 mole of FADH2 that is reoxidized by the electron transport
chain?
Answer: If the following equation adequately describes the electron transport chain:
10NADH + 2FADH2 ----> 34ATP
then each mole of FADH2 produces 17 moles of ATP.
Question: How to treat a facial mole that gets inflamied? My daughter has a pin head sized mole on her chin. It doesn't have much pigment in it, but from time to time it gets inflamed and looks more like a pimple. Does anyone know what will help the inflammation? I have scheduled an appoinmtment with a dermotologist, but just wondered if there are any home remedies for this problem. When the inflammation is gone, it goes back to the small pin head sized mole.
Answer: You could try a warm compress on it when it's inflamed. Seeing the dermotologist is probably your best luck.
Question: What are some similarities and differences between 1 mole of water molecules and 1 mole of copper atoms? I know what is similar is that it is 6.2times10^23 of the units and that it is different in that 1 is copper and 1 is water and one is atoms and 1 is molecules, so the copper makes up a certain number of molecules that are less than a mole while the water is a mole in itself. Is there anything else you can think of?
Answer: 1 mole of water = 1 molecule of water. H2O, per the periodic table weighs 16 grams/mole. If you want to know more about water and its properties go to this web site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water
1 mole of copper = 1 molecule of copper. It weighs 63.55 grams/mole. If you want to know more about copper go to the above web site. In the middle of the left side of the page is a blank box. Type "copper" in the box and press "enter". Good Luck!
