Question: cyst??????????????????????????????????… i have a cyst on face near my check and its sooooo embarrassing! it looks like a pimple! i went to the doc to get it checked and she said i have to wait for a referal for a dermatologist. its been a week! my insurance is so slow! ugh! but what can i do now to make it shrink??? this is my first cyst! idk would they do surgery what???

Answer: Put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and put it on the cyst several times a day. It will kill any bacteria and will reduce the size of the cyst a bit (dries it out to a certain extent).

Answer: Hello, it sounds like you may have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom). The symtoms that you are describing are symptoms of PCOS: Ovarian cysts & hormone imbalance. Some other symtoms (not sure if you have them) are: trouble losing weight, some hair loss, darker hair growth on face and / or arms, and sometimes irregular periods, also infertility or trouble conceiving. Doctors will usually prescibe a diabetic medication called Metformin for treating PCOS because in a lot of cases people w/ this develope Diabetes later on. The medication can assist in weight loss. Weight loss is the key to balancing your hormones and putting these symptoms at bay. You should talk to your doctor. Hope this might help.

Question: Can a sebaceous cyst be removed above someone’s’ eyebrow? About 18 months ago I had a sebaceous cyst removed just on my solar plexus, however, I have something that feels like a sebaceous cyst above my eyebrow. Answer: You can certainly have it removed - you may well be able to have it removed under local anaesthetic - go, see your doc before the little critter gets a big critter|!

Question: How can I get direct heat on a sebaceous cyst inside the ear? My husband has a sebaceous cyst in his ear canal, and I'd like to try using heat to treat it. How can I get DIRECT heat on the cyst specifically? I can use a heating pad, but I'm thinking "concentrated" heat right on the cyst. Any ideas? Answer: I had that. Symptom is INCREDIBLE PAIN!!! Trust me, you'll know. If you feel severe cramping, then it's twisted and you need to go to the emergency room immediately.

Question: Is it possible to have a nabothian cyst on the endometrium? I was recently told by an ultrasound technician in Guatemala (where I live) that I have a nabothian cyst on my endometrium. Is this even possible? From my research, it looks like nabothian cysts ony exist on the cervix. The more likely conclusion to draw would be that I have a polyp; is that correct?

Answer: Nabaothian cysts are specific to the cervix, just like you said. If there is a collection of fluid in your endometrium, it is likely just a simple cyst. A polyp does not appear the same on ultrasound as a cyst, so it is probably not a polyp. I would follow up with your doctor to get the official results from the radiologist.

Question: Can a cyst give a false positive in a pregnanct test? I was told that i have a cyst on my ovary. Now i have had the symptoms of being pregnant and im not sure if i am. I have taken 4 tests and all positive. Now however on the clearblue instructions it says that ovarian cysts can give missleading results. Is this true or what? Am i pregnant or what?

Answer: I'm kind of having the same issue as you are. 2 months ago my dr told me that I have an ovarian cyst, and to make a follow up appointment in a few months. I'm having pregnancy symptoms, and I'm about a week late, BUT my tests are reading negative. So I don't know if I'm pregnant, or if it is just the ovarian cyst. Answer: Anywhere, depending on the Doctor and your body, from 2 weeks to 6 weeks. I would check with the Doctor, but I bet he say's since it's been 10 days to resume intercourse when you feel comfortable. EDIT: Your stitches will disolve anytime from a few days post-op up to 2 weeks.

Question: What is a bruise colored cyst on the back of the left ear mean? I have a jelly like,bruise colored, cyst on the back of my left ear;do I have an infection or what?

Answer: is it near or a over a piercing hole? i had one of those last year and i had it for like a month but then i popped it with and earing and it went away. its it hurts too much to do that i suggest u try getting a sterile needle and numbing the area and then popping it. trust me its worth just getting that over with than spending money for a doctors appointment u dont really need. it is a type of infection but once u pop the bump itll be gone.

Answer: depends on how big it is. if its bigger than a few millimeters theres not really any way to get rid of it yourself. but if its pretty small, sterizile a needle, poke it, and squeeze it and it will come right off

Answer: Sounds about right. Unless they used the open healing method... then it could be as long as 2 or 3 months. If he has stitches, you should be able to have careful sex about 3 weeks later. Take it easy for a couple of months just to let everything heal properly.

Answer: Yes you do have to pay for the OR the Anesthesia and any other costs that come with it. There are a lot of nerves and vessels in your wrist so it is a fairly complex proceedure. My wife had one and we looked at having it removed and asked my dad a surgeon about it and he told us yes it was major and that back in the old days they would smash them with a bible breakign them up and let the body absorb them.....he was joking around about smashing it for free and we figured well we would have to wait until we could afford for my wife to have a few weeks off from work and it went away on its own so never needed surgery but yes it will be pricey and there is really no way around it.

Answer: Pain. Intense pelvic pain. When one of mine ruptured, I couldn't even move. Luckily it only lasts for about 30 minutes depending on the cyst. You'll know! It felt like everything in that general area seized. My vagina, cervix, uterus, ovaries and even my rectum. If you start feeling this, take some ibuprophen, sit and wait for the pain to subside. I had some nausea as well. My nurse told me she's had women who have had to pull off the highway because it was so intense. I don't want to scare you, but just prepare you. Another thing - it's a good idea to inform your doctor after you think it's ruptured, they'll want to get you in for an ultrasound.

Question: What are the effects of have a cyst on a testicle, besides cancer? I am very concerned for my boyfriend who has a cyst on one of his testicles. Question: What was getting a vasectomy or removal of a sebaceous cyst like? Im getting a cyst removed on my scrotum on monday. The procedure seems fairly similar to a vasectomy, they just make a small incision and remove the cyst and stitch it up. My problem is that I have a guitar lesson scheduled the same day. I was wondering if you think that I will be able to attend or should I cancel it?

Answer: I had a vasectomy. I drove myself home, and sat on my butt for two days. That is all you will want to do. If you do much of anything else you will get an infection.
