Question: I want to know how Botox can get rid of wrinkles. Is there any side effects in my body. How long will it last? How long will Botox last before I get another one.How much does it cost.Where do you get it from (doctor or beautician)
Answer: botox fills in the creases in the skin (wrinkles) and plumps them out, hence making your wrinkles dissapear. the injections last for a while im not sure though i think it is more in years than months also i know that the procedures ar oretty pricey.
Question: How large is the needle that is used to inject botox into the arm? I am getting botox injections in my arm to relax the spastic muscles in my hand. I'm kind of nervous; does anyone have a picture of the needle used? This is VERY different than cosmetic botox, and my doctor told me the needle is quite large. PLEASE give me a picture of the needle; I'm quite terrified.
Answer: It is rather large, but shouldn't cause any more pain than a normal needle. I unfortunately don't have a picture available.
Question: What age should you start getting preventative botox? Dont go on about all that natural beauty stuff. I read an article in a magazine where a makeup artist to the stars said she didnt know of a single australian actress over 40 who had not had botox.
I want to get it to prevent deep lines. What age should i start?
Answer: To prevent premature ageing of the skin you can start at a very young age. I copied my mother doing her beauty routine when i was only 10. Also stay out of the sun as this is the most ageing thing for the skin. Many ladies and men that i know who are in their 40's do have botox as you cannot actually stop the ageing process- and we all want to look younger - but the earlier you start to take care of your skin the better it will look after you.

Question: How to order Botox from a credible source without a medical license? How do I go about ordering Botox injectible from a credible source without a medical license?

Question: Does botox on the forehead reduce the effect of acupuncture? I have been making use of the low cost of procedures in a foreign country. I got botox on my forehead. I am thinking of getting acupuncture just for the "feel good" effect. My question is, will the botox on my forehead minimize the effect of the acupuncture?
Answer: Botox can potentially have a negative effect on the outcome of acupuncture treatment. There is a similar negative effect with acupuncture therapy shortly after cortisone injections have been administered.
Additionally, acupuncture at the site of a "botox'd" areas can undo the intended effect of the botox.
Question: How can I get botox for terapeutic treatment? My mom had a stroke so I now botox will help her to move the part of her body that has been affected. I go online and I find millions of option. Does anybody knows which will my my best choice?
Answer: Botox - botulinum toxin - is used to specifically 'knock out' particular muscles where excessive muscle tone and spasticity prevents normal movement. This sort of botox treatment needs to be given by a neurologist or rehabilitation specialist following careful assessment to determine whether or not someone is a suitable candidate. There also has to be a lot of follow up treatment - often casting or bracing, intense physiotherapy and so on.
I'd imagine that your mother is seeing a rehab specialist, physio, OT, etc., at the moment? Have any of them suggested that botox treatment might be an appropriate option for her? While you can find out general information online, the only way you're going to narrow your options and find accurate information is to discuss things with your mum and her rehab team. It may be that there are other options far more appropriate to her situation.
All the best to both of you.
Question: How long does it take botox for palmar hyperhidrosis to take effect? I got injected a week and a half ago and sweating was reduced a bit but it didn't completely stop like I expected it to. Does it take longer for my hands to completely stop sweating or is botox not that effective?
Answer: It should usually take 2-7 days to see full result. However, my doctor did say that it may be slower for some people, so 2 weeks tops. I just had my palms done too 3 days ago. Still havn't achieved 100% dry, but some major improvements. Good luck.
Question: How do you get rid of excessive armpit sweating without using botox? My 11-year old daughter's armpits sweat excessively, even at normal temperature, not moving much. How can I help her without using botox?
Answer: There is a version of Secret on the market called
Secret CLINICAL that contains 20% Aluminum zinc which is a little better than some on the market.
Other than that, see a doctor about perscription applications, but as she is only 11 I'm not sure it would be wise to use something that strong.
Question: Is botox into the eye muscle possible to correct a small squint? Im 20 and have been not been offered surgery, as my squint in my right eye is too small for surgery, but annoyingly large enough to notice. Just wondering if anybody knew whether botox was possible to correct a squint.
Answer: As an eye muscle surgeon, we typically do not use Botox for small amounts of strabismus, or eye muscle disorders. Botox paralyzes muscles temporarily and can help when trying to correct very large disorders from stroke, tumor and serious disease. A small disorder is usually amenable to traditional surgery or to glasses with prism which will control your appearance. Hope this is helpful!

Question: I got botox on my armpits, but im still sweating. How long does it take to work? I've had severe underarm sweating my whole life, and on Monday I finally got Botox because no prescription deodorant worked. However, I'm still sweating! Is it true it takes some time to take full effect? I got 20 shots in each armpit.
Thanks.
Answer: Typically doctors will give about 2 units per area which means you received about 40 units to each armpit, which would be an appropriate dose. When people come in for botox for treatment of their brow, forehead or crows feet we tell them that it typically takes about 5-7 days for the full effect. In my experience it is rare for it to take more than 7 days. When it comes to treating hyperhidrosis, however, the botox can take a little bit longer in some cases. Point being, don't give up just yet since you are just at about 4 days. I might suggest waiting until 7 days have passed then see how well it seems to be working. I hope that the doctor suggested a follow up. We always do a 2 week follow up to make sure that we have achieved the desired result. In treating hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) under the arms, the anatomy is many times not quite as straight forward as it may be with using botox on say the brow area.
I would recommend seeing where you are at by monday and if at the 7 day point you feel as though there has not been a significant improvement, call for a follow up.
I hope this helps!

Question: What kind of mother encourages her daughter to pose for Playboy and get botox injections? I am talking about the Kardashian's mother Kris. I just started watching it that show. My mother would be ashamed if I ever posed for Playboy and got botox.
Answer: A horrible mother. I used to feel bad about how they disrespected her but now I can understand why. She's more like a sister than a mother.
Question: How effective is botox for palmar hyperhidrosis? I got botox injected to treat my hyperhidrosis two weeks ago. It has decreased the sweating a bit, but I still sweat a lot from my hands. Is this treatment not that effective, or does it take longer for the full effect to start working?
Answer: Contact the doctor that did it and ask about expectations. They may have treated cautiously to avoid weakness of the thumb as a side effect. You may need touch up of some areas. It is generally effective and by 2 weeks probably should be doing it.
Question: How much does Botox shots every three months effect the liver and kidneys if known? I wondered how toxic Botox is actually on the liver and kidneys while it is helpfull then what are the risk? Does someone have an idea? Thanks for your answers ahead of time.
Answer: Like most of drug side effects, the mechanism is not fully understood. Some people develop it while most people get away unscathed.
They are mostly to do with probability of the occurrence.

Question: What is the quickest way to become a botox practitioner? I have just got a 2:1 in a non-medical degree (psychology and sociology) and now I have decided that I want to be a botox practitioner. What is the quickest way that I can do this... obviously I don't want to do a 7 year medical degree, and I don't really want to do a 3 year nursing degree either.
Answer: It's best to at least take the nursing course.... botox is NOT as safe as most people think it is, and causes a lot more problems than are ever reported in the news. If you don't have the proper training, you risk doing serious harm to someone because of lack of knowledge - it's just not worth it to take short cuts with a powerful drug such as this.
Question: How much is botox and where can I go to get it? I'm 28 years old and I have a lot of wrinkles and heavy bags under my eyes. I'm wondering if botox would work to help to improve this. I live in California an hour away from SF is it easy to get in this area and where can I go and how much does it cost generally?
Answer: Botox can range from $125- $400 per injection site
