Question: Hair transplant? I'm 26 and I'm thinking of getting a hair transplant. I'm obviously going bald and so I keep my hair really short. I miss having hair and having hair to style. Has anyone had good results?
Answer: Have you tried Finasteride/Minoxidil?
Even if you take hair transplant, they would suggest you take meds to maintain what you have.
Question: hair transplant? what do doctors do during a hairt transplant? can young teens have hair transplant like from13-16?
look it up
Answer: i have never heard of that.
Question: Hair Transplant???????? I just had an hair transplant because i loss my both side hair(like top of the both ears) cuz i used to have braids :(.....i would like to knw tht do u loss ur other(natural) hair after the surgery b/c it seems like i have lost my regular hair :(
Answer: A hair transplant does not prevent the (going to fall hairs) from falling. It only replaces the bald portion. So having a hair transplant will in no way protect the old hairs which were going to fall in the normal process. Its therefore usually recomended that you do the hair transplant at the right stage i.e. around 20 - 30% of the normal original hair.
In your case you can get the remaning hairs done in one more transplant. Also take care of the hairs you have now. i.e. the original ones from falling. Reduce your stress levels by doing meditation like yoga. Eat lot of vegetables and fruits in diet. Also using hair oil is recomended to stop hair loss. Start meditating regularly for reducing the stress levels. Also exercise to keep the blood flow normal. Apart from this check if you have dandruff, as its the main cause of hairloss in many. I have read a related article somewhere on stophairlossquick.com and it did benefit me.
Question: What is hair transplantation? Is hair transplant the only real answer to being bald? Is hair transplant will look like the real ones? Has hair transplant got some side effects also? Is there any reliable hair restoration center/clinic in the Bangalore or South India for hair transplantation? And how much hair transplant costs? Please I need an honest answer for these as I loose hope for I am a bald guy since for the past 2years. Help me to find truth answer please?
Answer: For hair transplantation to work, you still have to have some hair. They don't transplant hair from another person into you. They cut hair with the follicle, usually from the back of your head (they do it in a way that you can't tell where they have taken the hair follicles) and transplant it to the bald areas of your head. My step father had this done and it worked well. I knew he had had it done, so I could tell, and if you looked really closely you could see that the follicles were transplanted in nice neat little rows, which didn't look natural, but again, you have to look very closely to notice. Most people you would encounter in casual circumstances wouldn't notice because unless you closely examine your scalp, it looks natural. He had it done more than ten years ago, so perhaps they have improved methods they can use now that result in a more natural appearance. I'm from the US, so I don't know of any doctors in your area who can do this, but I'm sure a google search would be a good place to start locating a doctor.

Question: Can they use hair follicules from your back or chest in hair transplant surgery? I heard that they usually use hair follicules from the back or the side of your head when they transplant them. I was just wondering if they could use hair from your chest or back? The only problem that I could see with doing this would be that the hair on your chest or back might be of a different grade or texture and might grow differently than the hair on your head if transplanted. But my question is, is it even possible to transplant hair follicules to your head from other places such as your chest or back?
Answer: Probably not.
The hair on the head is a different texture and diameter from chest hair.
Also, one has more follicles per square inch on the head than on the chest or back.
The graft taken from one area of the head and grafted to another site on the head will grow that hair like it had always been there.
Not bloody either like it would be from the back or chest and less chance of infection.
Very natural.
Question: Can a women get a hair transplant to make her hair longer and thicker? I don't have hair loss, but I have fine hair. I have spent my life trying to make my hair full of body. Can I get a hair transplant? Will it look natural? Is it painful? What is the recovery?
Answer: A hair transplant is not the answer since they will only transplant hairs form other parts of your head, and like you stated your hair is fine. The hair grows from a tube like depression in the skin called a hair follicle. The diameter of the hair follicle is determined by heredity and cannot be changed at any point in your life. It is unfortunate that you have spent so much time trying to alter something that will never change. The only remedy would be to alter your thinking. Long tresses are not for fine hair, shorter choppier cuts will release the weight of your locks and therefore they will have more body. Try a cute bob like Cameron Diaz, experiment with body waves, score better professional products specifically for fine hair. Do whatever you can, life is too short for this type of agony.
Question: Why do guys who get hair transplant still have a large forehead? I've seen in commercials with many bald guys who get hair transplants but they still have huge foreheads. If you're going to drop major bucks on a hair transplant why not go all the way and get a nice looking hairline?
Answer: different reasons... maybe they like their big forehead? or don't have the money to go ALL the way? or jsut plain personal reasons.. its all about opinion.
Question: What do i do if my hair transplant hasn't shown too much progress after 10 months? Well, my father had a hair transplant 10 months ago but he hasn't seen too much progress in its growth. Should he begin to panic or is this somewhat natural? He has grown hair but it seems to be very thin.

Question: Just had a free consultation for a hair transplant at Bosley and it seems too expensive. Other places? Does anyone know of any other hair transplant companies that are just as good as Bosley, but offer transplants at more reasonable prices? Please help.
Answer: I'm thinking about getting a free consultation how did it go? Anyways from what I know they seem to be to the best in the business so even if they are expensive you should realize that you get what you pay for. I would rather pay more money knowing that if I went with someone cheaper they might do a crappy job. And if you get a bad transplant you would have to look at it every single day!! That would really suck. I'm not saying Bosley is perfect but at least there the top dog in the industry or at least supposed to be.
And to answer your Q you could look into hair club but I know don't too much about them. Good luck!
Question: what is the best way to correct a donor scar from a hair transplant? Hello, I am 25 and I had a hair transplant a year ago. All was well at first but now the hair loss has regressed beyond the transplanted ones and looks terrible. On top of that, the donor scar is very noticable for any haircut lowwer than a 3 and a half. I want to try the natural low cut look but can not because of this haunting scar. What is the bes way (or doctor in the new england area) that can fix or minimize that the scar?
Answer: In most instances, the surgeon would cut out a strip again (not as significant as the original one) and with the next attempt, make the scar much smaller. A skilled surgeon should be able to do a much better job than the one you describe performed on yourself. The result should be a pencil thin white line.
Here's a few good sites to get some more input. There's an "ask a surgeon' section on this site: http://www.hairtransplantinsider.com that allows you to post a question and surgeons will respond to the question. Try getting some feedback there as well. A few more sites are: http://www.hairtransplantmagazine.com and http://www.hairtransplantdonor.com
Good luck with everything.
Question: Can hair transplant surgery restore a full head of hair to someone who is completely bald on top? I'm just wondering if hair transplant surgery can restore the appearance of a full head of hair to someone who was completely bald on top. I have heard that even with a good amount of donor hair available in the back, hair restoration surgery still cannot restore a full head of hair and the scalp would still be visible.
Answer: I had a friend who did it --- and it looked AWFUL!
Don't do it!!!

Question: Who are the Top 10 plastic surgeons doing hair transplant in India? In USA my friend told me, they maintain a list of the Best 10 hair transplant surgeons. Do we have a similar list in India?
Answer: Which hair transplant doctor do I go to? “Hair Transplant India” is very confusing on google search. Who are the Top 10 "hair transplant" surgeons in India giving "affordable cost hair transplantation" and who are the best in “Chandigarh” “Ludhiana” “Delhi” and “Jalandhar” ?
Dear Friends,
I accidentally stumbled across a very informative website www.ahrsindia.com
It is a site which is hidden on page 23 of the google search for “hair transplant”
You would say I have no other work if I can reach page 23!
But then that is how it is…. You can thank me for finding it for you guys.
Please follow the link below to get enlightened. Now you can rest assured that you have a quality surgeon to treat your hair loss. Just choose one near your locality.
The website has one big flaw. Though we would like to get the treatment from the most qualified doctor, the website lists plastic surgeons, skin specialists and plain MBBS doctors all together. But still it removes all the headache- we can now search our doctor easier.
It has all the addresses and websites too.
All the best!!
Question: Is it wrong to demand that my boyfriend get a hair transplant? my boyfriend is 24 and has been slowly going bald since he was 18 years old. when he is completely bald, i told him i want him to get a hair transplant. he just laughs and says no, he's accepted it. and i say fine, but i find him so much more attractive with hair then without. am i wrong?
Answer: Yes you are wrong. If you can't accept that going bald is something he's ok with then you need to stop talking to him. That's shallow.
Question: Is it possible to get a hair transplant to lower the hairline? Im a male with a somewhat large forehead ( 6 centimeters ) and i want to know if its possible to get a hair transplant to lower my hairline?
Answer: I don't think 6 cm is large at all. The classical ideal is 1/3 of the vertical distance of the face from the center of the front hairline to the tip of the chin, forehead; 1/3 of the vertical distance of the face from the center of the front hairline to the tip of the chin, nose; 1/3 of the vertical distance of the face from the center of the front hairline to the tip of the chin, mouth and chin. Of course it is theoretically possible for a plastic surgeon to create a lower hairline than a guy naturally has even if he isn't balding or thinning. The problem is that a low hairline may look awkward as one matures and the hair transplanted will stay growing while the hair behind it may thin and recede, then transplants will have to be placed behind the transplanted lower hairline. Since a guy does not know how much he will bald, he does not know the amount of area that could need transplanted so many surgeons may be reluctant to lower a hairline beyond its natural boundaries. Know that there are at least two ways to harvest the hair grafts. FUSE(follicular unit strip extraction surgery) and FUE(follicular unit extraction)aka wood's technique. The transplanting of the grafts is more or less the same. FUE can be more costly because it is more demanding of a surgeon's time to harvest the grafts individually, but it only requires a topical anesthetic, no scalpels, staples or stitches and there are no scars circling the head so even a crew cut with closely tapered back/sides can be worn. Also there is no limitations due to a tight scalp since there are no strip extraction surgeries. Search on the internet. There is a lot of information including videos of the procedures. Then speak speak with several dermatologists and plastic surgeons.
Good Luck!
Question: Has anyone ever had a hair transplant and what were your results? I'm looking to have a hair transplant some time this year. I lost my hair from wearing hair weaves and from stress. I've been applying medication prescribed by my dermatologist but its not working. I've also had steroid injections and those were not working all that great. I have dents in my head. I've been doing this for eight months.. I have areata alopecia in two spots at the top of my head. I'm seriously considering the surgery.
Answer: have you tried other measures also.
There are several treatment options that may help to stimulate and encourage hair growth. If hair loss occurs as a result of an underlying condition or disease, then the condition needs to be treated first. The various types of hair loss are treated with specific medication which includes antibiotics, corticosteroids, or steroid injections. For more serious episodes of hair loss, surgical procedures such as hair transplants, scalp reduction or skin grafts may be performed to replace hair loss.
Natural and holistic therapy offers a gentler alternative for people experiencing hair loss than the harsh effects of conventional medication. Treatments such as herbal and homeopathic remedies stimulate and encourage hair growth as well as support blood circulation, hormonal balance and thyroid functioning.
Herbal remedies along with good nutritional diet (supplements in case of severe deficiency or if directed by your doctor) help hair grow stronger and more plentifully by nourishing it at the roots. They achieve this by stimulating blood flow and supplying nutrients to the hair follicles and hence promoting healthy hair growth and slowing down excessive hair loss. Although the process begins within a few days, as the hair grow slowly, the results are visible only after a few months.
Herbs commonly used include Ginkgo biloba, Rosmarinus officinale and Xanthoxylum clavaherculis help to promote strong, abundant hair. Other powerful herbs such as Equisetum arvense, Avena sativa and Echinacea are effective combating hair loss and nourishing hair follicles.

Question: Is There Any Good Hair Transplant Doctors In Massachusetts? Just wondering if there are any good hair transplant doctors in Massachussetts, where I'm from. The best ones seem to be rather far from where I'm at.
Answer: Hair transplant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Question: How to go about getting a personal bank loan for a hair transplant successfully? I really need a hair transplant, but I'm not rich so I'm thinking about taking out a personal bank loan. I'm wondering if it would be better to be honest and just tell them what I need the loan for or should I not disclose that? What are some ways to insure that they don't turn me down? Would it be easier to get a personal loan through a regular bank or a credit union? I would appreciate any help.
Wow...so many scam artists lol.
Answer: Often the doctors that do transplants offer financing. I would check that out first before you contact any of the scam artists that answered your question.
