Question: Is it easy to tell if someone has had blepharoplasty? I'm thinking about getting blepharoplasty on my upper eyelids. I'm afraid that it will leave visible scars on my eyelids that will be noticeable to anyone who is close to me and sees me looking down. Where do plastic surgeons cut the eyelid and what does scarring usually look like?
And has anyone had it done and know how much it costs?
Answer: During the blepharoplasty procedure, the surgeon makes incisions that follow the natural lines of the patient's eyelids. This helps to minimize the appearance of scars. For the upper eyelids, the incision is made in the creases of the upper lids. For the lower eyelids, the incision is made just below the lashes. Obviously, if you are only having an upper blepharoplasty or a lower blepharoplasty, only upper or lower eyelid incisions will be made. The Average price for that kind of surgery is $4,152.
Statistics state that 66% of all patients say it was worth it.
Hope that answers your question...
Question: My eyes are swollen after my Blepharoplasty? I got an upper Blepharoplasty on both eyes Wednesday and my eyes are very swollen. Does anyone know how to make it go down or do I just have to wait it out?
Answer: Hey, good for you! I just had a quad bleph, uppers and lowers. It's been 15 days and I'm still just a little swollen. You can order Arnica Montana pills over the web, they are really cheap and help a lot with swelling and bruising. Be sure to sleep with your head propped up, and use ice packs for 15 minutes at a time to help with the swelling. Just be patient - you'll look terrific. For whatever reason, it takes a long time for the last bit of fluid to get out of the lids.
Question: lubricant eye drops stop me from having blepharoplasty? If blepharoplasty starts from dry eyes and I use lubricant eye drops is there still a good chance of getting it or do I actually decrease my chances if I put lubricant eye drops once a day?
Answer: blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to "LIFT" the eyelids by removing skin around the eye and eyelid.
using lubricant eyedrops probably wont really "prevent" much, except some symptoms of dryness
Question: Is there any method besides blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) that could make my eyes look bigger? I'm only 18 years old but my eyelids make me look japanese and i would like to know if there is any treatment or method that could possibly remove the fat in my eyelids but without any surgery please help.
Answer: The blending of ethnic features can be seen in fashion and music possibly making your concern an asset. If you are concerned about the eyelids, you should meet with a qualified Cosmetic Surgeon to learn your options. The decision to have surgery is a major step so make sure you understand the risks and benefits before you commit to a procedure.
Question: is it possible to correct a blepharoplasty with too much skin or fat removed? any techniques to fix this like to make lid look thicker?
Answer: You know how they do the collagen injections for women's lips? Maybe something like that could be done. You'd have to go back and have routine touch-ups, though, just like the women have to have with their lips. Just an Idea...
Question: can the eye be mishaped doing blepharoplasty? my eyelids are even but since blepharoplasty the brow is slightly mishaped. can this be corrected easily?
Answer: Blepharoplasty is basically a lid tuck, removing fatty deposits or tightening loose skin around the eyes to NOT obstruct your field of vision. The eye itself won't become mishaped. You will need to talk to your surgeon to see if they can reshape you brows.
Question: What is the salary of a cosmetic surgeon specializing in blepharoplasty reconstructive surgery?
Answer: They have an INCOME, not a salary. From that, they pay for their office space, several nurses, receptionists, secretaries, 6 or 7 different insurance policies, medical insurance for their staff, on and on. So what they put on the books is astonishing- for a good surgeon- what they take home is still very substantial. Depends on how hard they want to work, lots of variables. Malpractice insurance alone for a Cosmetic Surgeon is more than many doctors earn a year.
Question: How much do you think Lower eye blepharoplasty Cost? I was born with heavy bags under my eyes, and I want to get rid of them, I want to get plastic surgery, but I need an estimate of what it might cost.
Answer: Some variables are: region of country you are in, your general health ( to determine how extensive the pre-surgical work up needs to be), the surgical setting (office, out patient surgical center, or out-patient hospital).
But on average, including surgeon's fees, anesthesia, site fees and pre-surgical testing, and post-op care, you are looking at $2,000 - $3000.
And since it's cosmetic surgery, no insurance will cover any of it.
You could get a more accurate idea (maybe) by calling a few plastic / cosmetic surgeons' offices, and ask them for a ball park figure.

Question: Is Blepharoplasty covered by insurance companies? Is the procedure Blepharoplasty covered by insurance? I have heard that in some cases insurance will pay all if not part of the procedure.
Thanks,
Ron
Answer: Some will, some won't. Some will require what's called a prior authorization first, in which the doctor performing (or his staff) will have to send in an appeal to the insurance company first. Depending on what your insurance is, they may or may not. The very best thing you should do is call your insurance company and they'll give you the right answer. That way you can get the prior authorization process started if needed. Hope this helps, and good luck!
Question: Can blepharoplasty help your eyes? I've been hearing that blepharoplasty can help your eyes. Is this true?
Answer: If your eyes are feeling heavy and tired most of the time maybe it would be a good idea to get your eyes checked by a surgeon who specializes in this type of procedure.
They will be able to tell you if blepharoplasty can help you relieve your tired eyes and get your full vision back.
A side benefit of this surgery is that you will look and feel reenergized.

Oftentimes, patients choose their surgeon on the basis of price.
The cost of Blepharoplasty Upper & Lower (Bilateral) surgery is very affordable in India and costs are much Upper & Lower when compared to the United States, UK and other countries. However, since the success of your surgery is largely dependent on your choice of surgeon, cost should not be your main consideration for your decision to undergo Blepharoplasty Upper & Lower (Bilateral) surgery in India.

In India, any licensed medical doctor can perform Blepharoplasty Upper & Lower (Bilateral) surgery. He should have extensive experience in the procedure you will undergo. That’s when Forerunners Healthcare come into picture-helping you get the best surgeon for your surgery at the most affordable prices in the best Hospitals of India.
Your surgeon's skill can make all the difference between a good and an average result. Thus, although it is understandable that price is one of the considerations in your choice of surgeon, it is important to remember that the main consideration should be your surgeon's professional qualifications and experience.
Besides that you should look into other issues related to traveling abroad, which is your visa, passport, climate, cultural issues and language barrier. Although language is not a problem in India –as most of the people are well verse in English. But you should make sure that you have a reliable hand holding person to guide you through the various steps of getting medical treatment and surgery in India.
Hope this helps.
