Question: Which is a good skin bleaching agent? I am very dark-skinned & I would like to make myself look whiter. Which is a good artificial skin bleaching agent that can make me look whiter?
Answer: There so many skin bleaching agents and can be bought through department stores or pharmacy but for precautions you should ask your dermatologist what type of bleaching you have to try...it's better than doing it to yourself... or check out this website: www.aaaskindoctor.com/bleaching.html
Question: Describe the difference between a disinfectant and bleaching agent.? Hydrogen peroxide, H2O2, is a common bleaching agent and disinfectant readily available at the local drugstore as a 3 percent solution.
a. Describe what a disinfectant does.
b. Describe what a bleaching agent does.
Answer: A disinfectant will kill germs. Oxidation can do this but there certainly are other ways.
A bleaching agent will destroy the chromophores (components of molecules which cause colors) in molecules. Commonly this occurs through oxidation.
Question: Why, as a bleaching agent, hydrogen peroxide require alkaline conditions to be more effective?? Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is one of the most common bleaching agents. The positive aspects of hydrogen peroxide include the fact that it is environmentally friendly (decomposes to 02 and H20), colourless and non-corrosive. To be effective however, hydrogen peroxide requires alkaline conditions and suitably elevated temperatures of about 50°C.Hydrogen peroxide (liquid form) can be used as such in commercial products (i.e. ACE Gentile line up for P&G) or associated with compounds such as borates or carbonates to form solid particles, providing opportunity to formulate hydrogen peroxide in granular detergents.
Answer: The primary factors contributing to H2O2 decomposition include: increasing temperature (2.2 factor increase for each 10 deg-C); increasing pH (especially at pH > 6-8)....
Question: Is carbamide peroxide the only bleaching agent for dental? Are there other methods to belaching?

Question: How to improve the complextion without any artificial bleaching agent? & any special food habits ?
Answer: Whitening products on the market don't actually whiten your skin, it's just an illusion that makes your skin look brighter. But you could make your natural complexion look brighter by everyday simple steps:
1) Wash your face daily.
2) Use a toner after washing to get rid of those dead cells and tighten the pores. I used to be a lazy bum and skipped steps two and three until I began to have problems with outbreaks (which I never had during adolescence) as I got older.
3) Moisturise. They have different types of moisturiser out there depending on your skin type - oily, combination, and dry. It also gives a nice glow to your complexion.
4) Scrub your face at least once a week. It helps your skin to get rid of the dead cells and reveal the new ones underneath it.
5) Use a good suncreen (some moisturisers come with sunscreen) when you go out, those UV rays cause skin to age faster especially the lips. Don't forget the lipbalm too!
6) Have your daily intake of fruits and vegetables. Seaweed and rice is really good for the skin too. Some expensive skincare products are derived from these things, but why spend the money when you could actually get the same benefits by eating it.
Eat healthy, stay healthy, and live healthy.
You are what you eat. :)

Question: I have old acne spots on my shoulders and back. I was told to use bleaching agent.? Can you please help me find a very quick acting bleaching lotion because I'm tired and sick of how my shoulders look like. There are so many black spots and acne traces all over my back. I got to get rid of them.
Thank you
Answer: Bleaching your skin would only cause a whole new, BIG problem, because your skin would be unevenly toned and you'd look like your skin is changing colors.
You need to religiously apply a skin color toner everyday for a while and your skin will naturally tone itself to it's natural color.
If that fails, you need to seek professional advice before you try anything as extreme as bleach.
Good luck.
Question: which is the best bleaching agent for sole leather sodium bisulfate or sodium metabisulfate? and how could they be treated with leather during tanning process...
Answer: Bleaching Powder is Calcium Hypochlorite. Calcium hypochlorite is used for the disinfection of drinking water or swimming pool water.
Calcium hypochlorite is also an ingredient in bleaching powder, used for bleaching cotton and linen.
Sodium Bisulphate is an Acid Salt. For technical grade applications it is used in metal finishing, cleaning products, and to lower the pH of water for effective chlorination, including swimming pools.
Sodium metabisulphate is also known as sodium dithionate. Sodium metabisulfate is also encountered occasionally as a food preservative, especially in combination with sulfur dioxide in sweet, moist foods such as those containing coconut-flavored interiors.
Hope this helps.Thanx

Question: How does vitamin C function as a bleaching agent?
Answer: That is certainly not a very common use of vitamin C, but basically through redox chemistry. When you bleach something, for example, using commercial bleach, it has sodium hypochlorite which oxidizes "dirt" (whatever is being bleached). Vitamin C is a strong reductant (since it reduces things it's an antioxidant, in case you're wondering about it's very common use), and so it simply reduces "dirt" (or whatever). I have never heard of it being used in bleach before, but I suppose it's hypothetically possible, it would just be far more expensive than the two common components of commercial bleach, sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide.
Question: What is a good ''skin bleaching agent '' to get rid of freckles ? easy points !? i'm thingking of ultraquin or lustra .
i hate my freckles , does anyone have experience with this product ?
EASY POINTS !
Answer: Be happy with how you look, don't bleach your skin!
You'll just get the freckles back when you go out into the sun for a while, and bleaching your skin can damage it.
After you've bleached your freckles, there will still be things with your body you're unhappy about, having an attitude of trying to 'fix' these things isn't incredibly healthy. I suppose if you hate your freckles to the extent of them actually affecting your life, then do it, but it's FAR better to learn to love yourself as you are.
Lots of people find freckles beautiful. (and you can always wear foundation for special occasions and whatnot.)
Question: is benzoyl peroxide dangerous for human skin? i mean it is a bleaching agent!? i wanted to buy acne treating products from "proactiv solutions", but then found a video on youtube that said all proactiv products are dangerous for skin as they contain a strong chemical and a bleaching agent benzoyl peroxide, which leaves stains on your cloth even after being washed off.
Answer: all chemicals are dangerous to human. so it's up to the user to use it. If you apply it and found out that it causes redness or any other type of reaction mentioned on the label, then stop using it. if it works for you and your only concern is the stain on your towel, then buy yourself a white towel and use it only for your face and nothing else.

Question: 10 pts!! Is Fair&White a good bleaching agent? ? I want to lighten my skin (I have stretch marks from rapid weight loss and they are lighter than my complexion and if I lighten my skin, they will blend in with my complexion and be way less noticeable), but I heard nothing but bad things from Fair&White.. Is it good? If not, what bleaching creams/soaps are effective?? Help please. 10 pts 4 best answer..
Answer: There are a couple of products that I would suggest, one thing I would not suggest is bleaching, judging by your avatar I am guessing you are of african descent and although, they are supposed to be professionals, you said you have heard bad things, so, if they made an error in judgment you could have a very noticeable, very large mistake on your body and it wouldn't be reversible, not to mention how expensive that can be. I would use Avon's Super Shape Anti-Cellulite & Stretch Mark Cream, see improvements in just 2 weeks. Also use Avon's Re-Fine Stretch Mark Smoother, this will smooth and fade the stretch marks, in 4 weeks your body appears firmer! The best part is if you don't get the results you desire just return it for a full 100% money-back guarantee, no questions!

Question: Is salicylic acid a bleaching agent? I currently use benzoyl peroxide (for acne) and it is ruining my clothes...
Answer: Salicyclic acid is a keratolytic - this means it breaks down the outer layer of skin, preventing pores from clogging up. Chemically or medically, it is not a bleach although it is (obviously!) an acid.
