Question: In what ways are HUMANS superior to other ANIMALS? We eat, exploit, hunt, experiment and exterminate them, just to number the main ones, and then we claim to be "superior". I would say that we are superior in cruelty.
It is time for us to dump our "superiority" by showing that the most intelligent animal in this planet is intelligent enough to recognize other animals as equals and not as slaves.
Doc Hudson does not understand the language of love. He is a pathetic ignorant conformist without any notion of right or wrong.
Answer: It's a wonderful ideal, but I'm afraid it won't happen any time soon.
First of all, the human race would have to become vegetarian.
Then, in many parts of the world, animals are used a lot for work (in effect, they're pretty much slaves.)
Actually, I'm not even so sure we are "the most intelligent animal in this planet"; maybe whales and/or dolphins are.
Question: What made Europe so superior to other continents and they conquered the world? Superior DNA and IQ?
I mean USA , Canada , European Union , Russia , Australia , pretty much all big powers excluding China and Japan are Euro originated influenced places!
Answer: A bit of both I guess. It also helps to be devilishly handsome
Question: How was were the ancient Athenians superior to the ancient Spartans? Although ancient Sparta had many strengths, such as their military and the dependence on agriculture to be self-sufficient, I need to contrast, and say how the Athenians would attack my response.
So i need to examine how the Athenias were superior to the Spartans.
Answer: The Athenians had a navy, something that the Spartan lacked. Athens was also a center for culture, art, and philosophy, while Sparta was, well, Spartan and lacked culture.
It was becuase of Athens superior navy that the Greeks were able to defeat the Persians in the Second Persian War.
Question: Why is it important to distinguish between superior and inferior judges? Why is it important to distinguish between superior and inferior judges? What things does this distinction affect??
This is for my Law AS homework, and I dont normally do this, but we havent got text books yet, and everything on the internet sounds to confusing, so any help is appreciated :)

It's a matter of binding precedent. The higher the judge, the higher the court that judge will be sitting in and the more binding his decisions on inferior courts. The decisions of a district court, county court or crown court judge will perhaps be of persuasive value to other courts, but they will not be binding upon them. Once a case reaches the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal lower courts will be bound by the decision. If it gets to the House of Lords, the decision must be followed by the lower courts and if another decision of the House of Lords departs from it, it must be because it is possible to distinguish it from that decision in some material way.
Question: Superior persons, how are you superior and what can you convince me from your superior position? What makes you superior to others and what could you convince me of from your superiority that would help me, or help me live and share a better life with others?
Answer: Follow three simple rules:
1. No one is inferior to you. You are inferior to no one.
2. Listen. Wisdom is cloaked in words. Search for meaning in the words of everyone.
3. Embrace diligence.
Success will follow.
Question: Why is the religion that you practice superior to all other religions? If you practice a religion, you must, one way or another, find it superior to all other religions. But regardless of what religion you practice, everyone who practices ANY religion feels "in my heart and in my soul that [my religion] is the true path." Everyone somehow just "knows" that their religion is the right one.
So what would you tell someone like me, who is looking for a religion? What does your religion offer that the others don't?
Answer: I don't have a religion, but i quite like Taoism, Buddhism, and Confusionism since none of them really focus on a God or a deity.
Question: What constitutes superior service from a server at a restaurant? When you go to a restaurant, what are some things the server could do that would make you tip whatever your max. percentage is for superior service? Also what are some of the most common mistakes or pet peeves you have when dining out?
Answer: Superior Service:
Be attentive.
Be caring.
Make no mistakes or if there are any mistakes, apologize.
Finding out what you want and how you want things, in other words NEVER ASSUME something such as that customers don't want a dessert if they ask for boxes. We have asked for boxes to make room in our tummies for dessert and took the leftovers home. Don't assume things about customers.
Bring things in the most timely manner possible.
GET THE ORDER RIGHT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
CHARGE the customer correctly, in other words, no overcharges.
Bringing extra napkins.
Coming to see if your food is correct by asking you if everything is ok.
Common mistakes or pet peeves:
1. Assumptions about that EVERYONE WANTS whatever instead of finding out first. An example would be everyone wants refills, well not everyone does and not everyone wants the same drink the next time either, so you should ASK instead of ASSUME.
2. Bringing out the order wrong that is really obvious such as wrong food or missing condiments.
3.I HATE when servers BLAME the kitchen staff when they could *SEE* the mistake without touching the food such as one time a waiter told me "the kitchen forgot" when I had ordered some sides of mayo, mustard, and ranch, which is untrue, because since the waiter brought out the food, he could have NOTICED that those condiments weren't on the plate. It's not the kitchen staff that brings me the food, so there's no possible way that type of situtation could be the kitchen staff's fault.
4. Overcharging you and acting as if they could care less about your money, but they want you to care about theirs. Some servers don't say they are sorry even. There goes their tip for being uncaring and stealing.
5.Doesn't WRITE the orders down, then ends up forgetting.
6. Doesn't repeat the order, so then the server gets it wrong. A couple of times I asked for 2 sides of bbq sauce with my ribs, well they ASSUMED or THOUGHT I wanted NO bbq sauce on the ribs, just "ON THE SIDE", which is NOT what I had ordered. I ordered 2 sides of bbq sauce, which was extra along with the bbq sauce on the ribs, which ribs do taste different when the bbq sauce is cooked on.
7. Bringing the check before you are ready without any explanation.
8. No noticing you have no utensils to eat with or a napkin to speak of.
9. Not asking for a comp from the manager when major mistakes happen like a wrong entree. The server should report that type of stuff, but most don't.
10. There is a such thing is being too attentive to where if you cannot eat without your server coming at you every moment, that is a bit irritating. I'd rather a server like that, than an non-existant server, but still, if the server is too attentive, it's annoying as well. Try to find a common balance of letting the customers be alone sometimes.
11. Has to come back to the table after leaving the table with the written order due to not writing all the details down. That's an unnecessary interruption. A server should only have to go back to the table to find out something if the kitchen staff is out of an item or if there is something wrong with what was ordered. The server should have gotten ALL SPECIFICS of the order the VERY FIRST TIME AROUND. An example that's minor, but irritating, I tell my server I want salt on my margarita when I order it, but I have had quite a number of servers come back to our table to ask if I said I wanted salt. The server shouldn't have to come back to the table and should have gotten that detail when she or he took the order originally.
Question: How do I go about approaching restaurants with our superior product? I own a smokehouse (fish, cheese & butter) and currently sell direct to the public. How might I branch out and sell to restaurants? I'm thinking they either buy their product from Costco, a distributor or lightly smoke their own products in house. I'd like to branch out to selling to restaurants in order to boost our business as currently we rely mostly on tourism and locals. We have superior product...I'm just not sure we can compete with Costco prices.
Answer: If you have a superior product, locally smoked, real smoke, no added chemicals, and small batches, rather than bulk-by-the-truckload like Costco's, I'd start with the better restaurants. You know your local ones, the places with fancy food, or advertise locally-grown veggies, organic food. Those places would be more interested in fine food products, well-prepared, than, say, a diner or a sandwich place. Phone around, ask to make an appointment to speak to the owner or manager. Take samples, talk your stuff up. If you currently only sell direct to the public, that's probably a plus for the restaurants, as opposed to you selling through a distributor.
Question: Can my superior in the workplace make me and my employees clean the work bathroom? I am sample maker at a company and recently the company has merged together with another office space, since then the bathrooms are disguising because of the new office employees. Although we haven't made the mess the boss makes us (the labor workers) clean the bathroom as a sort of punishment even though we have not made the mess. Can my superior legally make me clean the bathroom even though it is not in my job to do so?
Answer: If your superior is using this cleaning task as a punishment then it is not legal. Consult with your lawyer or a friend who is a lawyer to see what your legal options are if this is the case.
If, however, this task is part of your job, then you will be responsible for its completion. However, the task should be fairly rotated between all employees. If this is not the case then you may have grounds for a discrimination and/or a retaliation claim that could hold up in court.
But don't tell anyone that you are going to sue. Be quiet about it. Just consult with your lawyer and file your claim if you want to. Be aware, though that by suing you could create a long-term toxic work environment. However, if this situation being resolved is worth it to you and you could reasonably find another job then go ahead with it. Just be sure that you know the full ramifications before you proceed and if you do choose to sue it is best to catch them by surprise.
Question: How can one win a debate defending women more superior than men physically? After a thorough research, I realized that it is physiologically impossible for women to be more superior than men. So how can I possibly win this debate?
Answer: I work in the movement field as a fight choreographer and I've worked with a lot of men and women in both Eastern and Western martial arts.
What exactly do you need to debate? You posted another question about strength. And this one seems more general about being superior physically - which can encompass many things - appearance, aesthetics, biology, health, skill, agility, strength, spacial awareness, ability to learn new physical skills, etc.
As for the strength aspect of things - I know from my training that strength is only part of what may be important in a fight. There's also the aspect of agility, stamina, quickness, reading subtle cues, etc. But the most important part is knowing HOW to use your body.
Strength is not always what we think it is. When I teach, sometimes I will do this demonstration for my students: I ask them to show me what it looks like to have a strong arm. They usually flex their biceps and tense their muscles.
I then have some of the bigger and "stronger" students come out to help with the demonstration. I have one of them hold their arm out straight while another one tries to bend their arm at the elbow. It may take some effort, but they can do it. But at the same time the volunteer trying to keep his arm straight is working hard, starting to perspire, getting tired, and using a lot of energy.
Then, I have them try to bend my arm (I'm pretty small - 5'4 115lb female.) I relax my arm and simply point at something in the room. They cannot bend my arm. Even when 2 or 3 work together. (You can try this, it works. It's pretty cool.)
Why? Because my muscles are lengthened with intention. I'm not expending energy tensing or shortening my muscles. In this demonstration - tiny me is stronger than 2-3 "strong" guys working together. They will tire out long before I do, after-all I'm just pointing.
"Strength" is not everything. I have dropped my male colleagues to the ground on numerous occasions - even though some are at least 6" taller and double my width. Again, it's knowing how the body works - where the center of gravity is, how people instinctively respond to certain things, knowing the weaknesses of human bodies, using your body in an efficient manner, etc.
I seriously dislike male vs female debates. However, if this is for a school debate and you want more information, just let me know, I'll try to help you out.
Question: What makes derivatives more superior to the concept of limits? I was reading online somewhere that once a student starts learning about derivatives, limits become essentially useless and will no longer be used for future math classes? Is this true? And what makes derivatives a superior replacement to limits? Thanks in advance.
Answer: That only shows that a lot of junk is lying online. Nothing can be more misleading. The rules of differentiation are just a bunch of shortcuts to compute some limits but not all of them, far from it.
Question: How to create that superior standard in me? I am very stressful - whatever i do nothing seem to work and people look down on me and bully me.
I want to create that image superior standard in me.
Act like i am in-charge, i am positive, i am motivated and no one can control me.
Answer: I have a lot of friends who have asked this question of me.
You just stop tolerating it.
They always wondered why guys treated me the way I wanted to be treated. Well, I didn't tolerate less and guys who asked me out already knew that. It's the same with business relationships or anyone really. Why don't you curse out your boss? B/c there are known consequences.
To be "in-charge" you take full ownership. Full ownership means good or bad--if the project fails you are just as much in charge as if it succeeds. Anyone who hides and covers their rear will never be seen as "in-charge". The person in charge protects others from the wrath of the higher ups.
Next start your sentences weakly. "This may seem like a bad idea but...." or "I may have an idea that might help." Just knock those out of your vocabulary.
People bully the weak. When someone comes over to bully you, you merely look down on them, don't care, and point out something the time needs to be spend on. At work, you have to get back to work and don't have time for trivial conversations. If it's personal, something insulting works best. Something along the lines of "believing lies like that is definitely why you are still single" or "how cute. You heard that from Jennifer. Yep that's about up to her creative ability". Through in some bigger vocabulary and walk off. Do something else. Don't sit there and be bullied. If it gets physical, press charges, carry mace, whatever. There is nothing a little pepper spray won't cure.
Superior standards just means you have a bar of expectations. You expect that bar to be met by you and all around you. Anyone who cannot meet those expectations is not someone you acknowledge. Being positive and motivated definitely help, but discipline is more important. Just like with children, a threat can become meaningless when not followed through.
Question: What makes religious belief superior to scientific research? There are countless scientists who dedicate their lives to the pursuit of the truth, for the sake of knowing the truth. They spend large sums of money on their educations. They work hard to learn their fields. They support their work with logic, reason, rationality, and evidence; while, remaining humble enough to accept when they have made a mistake, for the sake of the truth. Then, along comes someone who has never bothered to study any science or scientific evidence, and they "know" all that hard work and dedication are worthless; because, their religious beliefs say otherwise.
Is a choice to believe something on faith, without bothering to study the facts, really better than all that research? If so, what makes religious belief superior to scientific research?
I'm not "setting up" anything. I am merely making an observation and asking a question about it. There are countless Christians who will declare that evolution is false and creationism is true, despite that they never bothered to study any of the evidence and have never embarked on an honest pursuit of the truth of the matter - they just chose to believe what the Bible says. I would just like to know what makes their choice to believe superior to all that hard work and dedication demonstrated by scientists? Is that not a fair question to ask?
Answer: Nothing makes it superior. Science gives us vaccinations, religion gives us faith healers.
Question: What problems arises when we view our own culture as so superior to others? I was would like to your veiw point. Because my teacher ask us this question and it really started a heated debate. (What problems arises when we view our own culture as so superior to others, that we refuse to accept ideas from other cultures?)
Answer: Edward Said has provided probably the best response ..in his text 'Orientalism'
he shows how the West has stereotyped all 'non Western societes and devalued and dehumanised the rest of the non-Western world, and also legitimated the colonial forms of oppression and the current post colonial inequalities that continue to construct the lives of people today ...a process that creates problems of perception for both the Westerners and the people they are stereotyping, in additon of course to the social construction, and false legitimation, of political economic inequalities across the world.
There are plenty of web sites summarising his work and showing how it has affected sociolgy in general
If you are interested enough to look further into this topic then R.W. Connells text 'Southern Theory'
examines the losses to sociological understanding that an over Westernised view of the world creates.
Good thoughtful question
Question: How is reasoning related to logical arguments? Is this form of reasoning superior to what one might come to on How is reasoning related to logical arguments? Is this form of reasoning superior to what one might come to on his own? Why or why not?
Answer: The mind naturally acts on the principles of logic. You don't need to be taught them any more than you need to be taught how to use your eyes.
When Aristotle listed all 256 forms of deductive logic, he was not inventing them; he was discovering them and classifying them. So whether you know it or not, you always use one of those 256 forms--OF WHICH ONLY 15 ARE VALID!!!
So, you have a choice. Go on as you have been, what ever that may be; or learn the formal logic and get better at what you already do naturally.
Question: Why am I constantly searching for ways to make me feel more superior? I mean. I always search for ways to feel more superior about myself. Maybe better then other people. Is this normal?
Answer: Its called Ego buddy. I search for ways to make me feel superior as well, and you gotta understand this dough ITs a GOOD thing. yes its rude to say them out loud but if you can sleep then damn it keep on thinking that way. Sooner or later you will realize that you need this feeling to move forward in life. because the feeling of walking above other men is fuel for allot of us. Also the pursuit of being better than someone else will open allot of doors in the competitive society we live in. but seriously dough, don't say it out loud. its very rude.

The Muslims had superior technology, so what did the Christians have? Richard the Lionheart?

1. the divided Muslim nations at that time (they were not united like now)
