Question: How much does fraxel skin resurfacing cost? where can i find price quotes for the fraxel procedure?
Answer: http://www.docshop.com/education/dermatology/facial/skin-resurfacing/cost-financing/
it says about 200 to 300 thousand dollars.
Insurance usually doesn't cover the cost
Question: Does the laser skin resurfacing cosmetic procedure really work?
Answer: Ill be honest, ive never had skin resurfacing, but I have had laser surgery to remove some of my surgery scars. One of my scars is completely invisible now and the other one is barely visible. I definately recommend it to anyone.
Question: Can skin resurfacing help reduce the appearance of stretch marks?
Answer: No, I don' think so. Stretchmarks are scar tissue caused by tears deep within the dermis. They are too deep to be treated with laser resurfacing. However, non-ablative lasers which penetrate the deeper layers of skin, without removing the top layers of skin can help stimulate collagen and elastin to reduce the appearance of stretchmarks. However, I think you'd need maintenance treatments to maintain the results indefinitely.
I'd try a presription cream such as Retin A to help your stretchmarks.
Good luck : )
Question: Is Laser skin resurfacing for dark circles under eyes dangerous ? Some Docs say it is, others say it isn't ; could anyone help ? Thx :)
Answer: you will become blind dont do that
Question: Can I have Laser Skin Resurfacing performed on my legs and bum? I've just recently gotten over scabies...possibly the worst parasite ever. But, I have the horrible brown freckle-like scarring left over, and I really need to get rid of it, and fast. I've read similar articles saying to use mederma, but that takes like, six months. I was wondering if it would be possible for a cosmetic surgeon to resurface my legs and bum from the scarring. I googled it, and all I saw were eighty-year-old ladies and their hands and faces.
Someone please help!
Answer: Contact a clinic and ask, you'll be sure to get accurate info taht way;
Question: Have you had laser skin resurfacing? I'm in my late 20's and thinking about laser skin resurfacing because I'm getting "crows feet" and wrinkles under my eyes. I don't smoke and stay out of the sun, so getting these at an early age is depressing. I've tried a couple of over the counter creams, but nothing seems to work (suggestions?).
Hints, tips or stories of your laser skin resurfacing would be nice.
Answer: A friend and fellow esthetician just had Fraxel resurfacing done. She's in her mid-30s and has a lot of sun damage, so she "needed" it. She had no downtime, but it's obvious she had something done and she says there is some discomfort. It's only been a couple of days, so I have no idea how it will work out.
Honestly, it might not be as bad as you think it is. Keep in mind that you are the only person who looks at your skin as closely and critically as you do. You may want to get a facial and talk to a professional about your skin's condition before you take a step as drastic as laser resurfacing. There may be professional products that can diminish those lines.
A lot of the time, especially when you are young (I'm only 30), these are problems related to skin hydration. Introducing just the right product or treatment can have a tremendous effect. I have (what I consider to be) a fairly deep line in my forehead from scowling and squinting. I contemplate Botox for it every once in a while, but a Paraffin Wax Masque hydrates my skin enough that the wrinkle is gone. So it could be something as simple as a treatment you were unaware of.
Question: has anyone ever done skin resurfacing or a major peel on their face? if you have how much do they cost and do they really work for fine lines and discoloration?
Answer: yes thats what i do for a living and yes it works for both....but u cant just do it one time....its done in a series...7-10 times...but be consistent if ur going to do it like that...it can be $$$ but its worth it.
Question: Where can you get fraxil skin resurfacing in the uk and how much does it cost?

Question: A commercial on the discovery channel about laser skin resurfacing..What is it called? I was watching it at a friends and now i cant remember the name, i think its something youth or something like that. There is a female doctor on the ad. Can anybody tell me the name or the website.
Thanks heaps
Answer: microdermabration
Question: Has anyone had laser skin resurfacing done? For acne scarring.
It's a bit pricey, but I want to get it done from some light scarring I have from teenage acne. What I want to know is how bad were your scars, how many treatments did you get and was it ultimately worth it?
I'm concerned I'll be paying for something that will either make the scars worse or not do anything at all.
Answer: It's good that your aware of the risks. I would read a lot into it and figure out if it's worth the risks. Albative-lasers (meaning those that penetrate the epidermis) can leave hyperpigmentation, as well as fat loss, which could lead to some worse looking scars. Granted the risks probably aren't common, I would really evaluate whether or not the surgery is a must. If I were you I would look into some permanent dermal fillers before going with laser, certain fillers can be dissolved with an injected enzyme if they come out badly. I have heard plenty of people going into laser expecting good improvement and seeing little to none.
Good Luck with whatever you chose!
Question: my friend wants to get lasik skin resurfacing and i told her its expensive, $3,000 are there any alternatives? she has acne scars and blood bubbles!
Answer: I think you mean laser instead of lasik. The only other alternatives would be regular dermabrasion or else injections of a 'filler' material into each scar. Probably the laser would be the best way to go.
Question: Is laser skin resurfacing or a chemical peel better for acne scars? My skin has mild to moderate left over acne damage from my teens and I am wanting to look into getting something done about the uneven tone (blotchy), large pores and mild acne scarring and wasn't sure which procedure would be best ::scratches forehead::? I'm 24 now and have been using quality creams on my face since 17 yrs old but it has done little to no improvement and although my Bare minerals make-up is awesome I really want to be able to go out, "naturally bare!" lol.
Any help would be appreciated.
Answer: I don't have acne but I have had a chemical peel, the first time I thought my skin was fabulous, the second time it had no effect whatsoever

Question: Laser skin resurfacing cost? I have several indented chicken pox scars on my forehead that my dermatologist said could be removed by a plastic surgeon using laser skin resurfacing. Does anyone know how much that procedure usually costs? He also mentioned a technique where the scars are cut out and form a less noticeable non intended scar instead. Do you know anything about that and how much it might cost? Thanks!

Question: Does anybody know anything about PIXEL and how effective it is in skin resurfacing?
Answer: it depends on your skin-type...
Question: Skin resurfacing recommendation anyone? I've tried everything fromn Proactive, to over the counter scrubs and had a nasty reaction to birth control pills (the hormones give me NASTY migraines; but the skin did clear up!). Anyways, I do wash my face, but I have blotches and little pimple marks all over my face. The dr said I'm not as bad as he's seen other's, but still I'd like to have clear skin for once in my life!
I've been reading about microdermabrasion, but heard it doesn't clear up everything. Then I read about getting a mild micropeel which sounds much better. What about laser treatment? Any info from someone who's gotten skin resurfacing or something similiar would be of great help. Or at least someone who works in the dermatology area would be awesome too.
Answer: I had laser resurfacing done on my face in 2001. It's the best thing I have ever done. My face is smooth, free of age spots and is definitely tighter. Think instant face lift. I am 51 and look in my early 40's. Make sure the plastic surgeon is very experienced in this field. You would not want scarring. My skin was on the dry side, I might note. My daughter got a prescription from a dermatologist for her pimples and she rubs on the cream at the first sign of an outbreak and has had a clear face for over a year now. Her skin is oily. Good luck!
Question: Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Work for you? Yes - It's effective
No - I'd rather not to do so.
Answer: I looked into laser skin resurfacing to get rid of the site of two very large pore sites that were visually bothersome in the middle of my right cheek. I was informed that enlarged pores would not be eliminated from this procedure that they may tend to shrink them slightly. I found a cover up concealer is the best route to ridding my skin surface of these large pores called concealapore. This visually eliminated my large pores from sight and gave me the skin confidence i was searching for through a laser procedure. this concealer is a lot cheaper and more effective at riding this visual distraction.
