Rhinoplasty
A cosmetic procedure used to enhance or change the appearance of the nose. Rhinoplasty is commonly referred to as a nose job.
Question: Rhinoplasty? I'm 16 years old but for several years I've been considering having a nose job. There is nothing that stands out about my nose as imperfection and my friends say it's fine but in my opinion I want a smaller nose. I just want to know if anyone has had this rhinoplasty surgery, how much it cost and what they thought of what it involved and the results. I've heard lots of stars have had it and it can be very subtle. My fear is I'll end up with Michael Jackson's nose however and Im scared to put my trust in someone to operate but I want to do it...?
Answer: Young lady, I do not know you but my advice to you is wait until you are at lest 20 before doing it. That way you body has a time to fully grow and you might see that you do not need it.
Since you have fear about it this would also help you understand it better.

Question: rhinoplasty? i'm thinking of having rhinoplasty.how much it wil cost?wil it look natural.and how long muz wil it take to heal?
Answer: I had it done and it was about $7000.00. My surgery was pretty extensive because I had a very bad deviated septum. Eventually your nose will look natural, but it can take up to a year for the nose to take it's final shape. It will be swollen for a while. As extensive as my surgery was, it really wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. If you look at my avatar, my picture was taken a couple months my surgery, my nose is still a bit swollen but it looks natural. Good luck and make sure you find a good doctor. 2D
Question: How did you afford your rhinoplasty? How do I afford it during my university years? I will probably receive quite a few scholarships. Is it a safer choice to use my credit card for university tuition and pay for the rhinoplasty with my scholarships? Should I get financing?
Is it a better idea to wait and get a job first?
Answer: education is WAAAYYYYYY more important that looks. anything could go wrong, thus making your nosejob cost way more than you first thought. please wait and graduate until you get it.
even get a job at mcdonalds so you can pay. just make you sure can pay for your school. its not smart to go so much into debt before you even have a job dont you agree?
wait until you get a job and can affort a very good plastic surgeon before you do this. remember with plastic surgery, you get what you pay for! dont look for cheap operations or "coupons". they can really really mess up! pay the best surgeon you can afford, and if thats not very much then wait until you can hire a good surgeon.
but by all means, dont use your school money!!!!
your nose isnt going to make you money! but your education sure is!!
Question: How much does breast augmentation and rhinoplasty cost? What are the average downpayments? I want breast implants and rhinoplasty. I want to know how much they cost and how much should i put as a downpayment. What are the average payments a month? Thanks.
Answer: The cost of breast augmentation varies widely, depending upon factors such as the surgeon's skill, the region where you have the surgery performed, whether the surgery takes place in the office or in a hospital, what type of surgery you choose, and what type of anesthesia is used. The average total cost ranges from $4,000 to $10,000. The average cost for the implants is $1,000 to $1,300; the anesthesia fee is typically $600 to $800; the facility fee typically ranges from $800 to $1,200. The remaining cost is the surgeon's fee.
Rhinoplasty costs should range from a minimum of $3,000 to no more than $12,000. This is the cost of hiring the surgeon only – there are a variety of other fees involved in the procedure regardless of who performs the work and where it is performed. The amount of work necessary is also a predominant factor in the final cost.
Question: after rhinoplasty why does your nose seem more swollen at times than others? i had rhinoplasty about 6 months ago and it is still swollen at times and less swollen at others...is that normal?
Answer: No, that isn't normal... I had Rhinoplasty done about a month ago, and my nose is completely fine... Go back to the doctor who did the surgery ASAP. It should have been fine about two weeks after the surgery.... Explain to him/her what's going on. They should have a reason...
Question: How much does does breast augmentation and rhinoplasty cost? What are the average downpayments? I want breast implants and rhinoplasty. I want to know how much they cost and how much should i put as a downpayment. What are the average payments a month? Thanks.
Answer: Breast implants--Thousands and Thousands of dollars
Rhinoplasty-- Thousands and Thousands of dollars
Learning to accept your natural body for the wonderful thing that it is---priceless.
Self-esteem-- it's everywhere you want to be!
And you won't be happy with your appearance just because you've had surgery. If you see yourself as flawed now, you'll look for flaws in the results of your surgery. The problem lies not with your body but with your mind.
Question: Who is the best cosmetic surgeon for rhinoplasty in Arkansas? I am planning on having rhinoplasty (nose job) soon. Could someone recommend a great surgeon in the Little Rock area?
Answer: Rhinoplasty surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Do you guys know if there are any websites or forums i can go to where they rate the top surgeons and discuss their successes or horror stories? Question: How long should I wait before a revision rhinoplasty? I had a rhinoplasty 6 months ago. I am not happy with the result because the cartilage is slightly skewed to the left and the hump is still evident. The surgeon is happy to re-do the operation but wants to wait a year. Is there any damage that can be caused by doing the operation earlier than that?
Answer: Well my surgeon, and I'm pretty sure every other surgeon suggests a year before revision surgeries because everything needs to settle.. That's what I was told before my surgery 2 weeks ago. I think it would be best to wait -- as hard as that may seem.
ps.. on a side note; would you mind answering my question?

Question: How soon will I be able to return to school or summer camp after rhinoplasty? I'll be 16 pretty soon and I want to get rhinoplasty during the summer. But I have summer camps to do during the summer. Do you think that I will be able to get surgery and be able to go to camp in good health in a short period of time? I'm also worried about what people will say when I go back to school but I'm so low in confidence in self-esteem that I really want to do this.
Answer: As you might expect, I would discourage something like cosmetic surgery completely, especially for somebody your age. I can empathise with you feeling down about your nose because we all have something we'd rather not and more often than not its also something we cant help.
Also, your nose changes a lot as you grow so why not give it time, at least another 5-6 years and see how you feel then. I realise that at your age you are very self conscious, I was too back then, but believe me you WILL grow out of this and regret ever being this obssessed over something so trivial(which it is no matter how you feel now)- it is SUCH a waste of time and whatever you may think, you are your own worst critic, I'll bet nobody else is as hung up over your nose and you yourself are.
My advice is to leave it for now, Im sure you have plenty of strong points facially and personality-wise - why not work on them more instead to take the attention away from your nose?
Hope that helped some and good luck =P
Question: How much can I expect to pay for my rhinoplasty? I'm seriously thinking of getting rhinoplasty surgery soon. I need to know the amount I should look to pay and what to prepare for in general financially.
Answer: There are a number of different issues involved with the cost of rhinoplasty. You might opt to select a cosmetic surgeon who will carry out the procedure in a hospital but this may cost more than if the surgery is performed in a private practice.
In addition if there has to be some structural work completed during your surgery then the price of the surgery will definitely increase.
For these options, the expected rhinoplasty price cannot be predicted. But for the most part, the procedure can and often does range from $2,500 all the way up to $9,000.
The most effective way to get an accurate price as to the overall fees associated with your specific rhinoplasty surgery is to in fact speak with a surgeon who is specialized in rhinoplasty.

Question: Would insurance cover a cosmetic rhinoplasty if there were also real medical problems with the nose? I have some problems breathing through my nose. I hadn't really noticed it before but the more I think about it, the more I realize that my breathing could probably be better. I have also been thinking about getting cosmetic rhinoplasty for a very long time. I was wondering, if I went to a plastic surgeon to fix my breathing problems, could I also get my nose cosmetically "fixed", "reshaped" (which ever term you chose to use) at the same time and still be covered by the insurance? Thanks in advance.
Answer: I think it depends on the insurance, how you put your problem and also which country you come from and there policies. You have to be smart,a friend of mine had outstanding ears, but not outstanding enough for the insurance to cover it,she applied again and had to send over a foto, she put something behind the ear so they looked more outstanding.Get informed well, goodluck

Question: How to get insurance to coverage nasal septal deviation and rhinoplasty? I have a nasal septal deviation with nasal septal spur, I would like insurance to cover this surgery along with rhinoplasty. Will some insurance companies cover the rhinoplasty?
Answer: Some insurance companies do cover rhinoplastys! However, you will need to provide information that it is for a medical reason, such as air flow is restricted. If the rhinoplasty is not covered by insurance than it can run you anywhere from $4000 - $12,000. So I hope for your sake it is covered by your insurance company.
Hope this helped!!
Question: How to get insurance to pay for rhinoplasty? A surgery was performed on the deviated septum a couple of years ago - turns out I STILL can't breath. And how will I go about getting coverage for a rhinoplasty.
Answer: ~~If your doctor writes a request detailing the medical necessity (has to be clear it is not for cosmetic purposes) then you will get an authorization for coverage.~~
Question: What are the pros and cons of rhinoplasty? When does one become a candidate for rhinoplasty?
What are the things done before the surgery to ensure a good prognosis?
Answer: If you don't like your nose, talk to a plastic surgeon for a realistic analysis of what rhinoplasty can and cannot do in your specific case.
The most dramatic results that I've seen are in people with a big bump on the bridge of the nose. It can really make a huge difference in how one feels about oneself.
Subtle changes are not likely to be worth the pain and expense, and if your nose is already cute, you're not likely to be happy if you try to make it cuter.
Talk to a board certified plastic surgeon.

Question: What is the best place to get rhinoplasty in Korea? I am looking to get rhinoplasty in Korea (or US if I can find someone) who is the best at doing asian nose jobs. Who do recommend?
Answer: The best place to get rhinoplasty is to us that money and travel to Europe, take culinary school classes or learn scuba diving or something that will develop your personality and character. That's far more attractive than an altered face. Just satisfying your insecurity about your looks by spending money to surgically alter your looks will only exacerbate that insecurity and only make that superficiality worse.
