Question: What is the difference between the pupil and the iris? What is the difference between the pupil and the iris? And if the iris is part of the pupil what does it specifically do? And what does the pupil do?
Answer: Iris is a patch of tissue. You can call it a curtain.
Pupil is the gap between the tissue. You can call is the gap between two curtains.
If you shrink the two curtains the gap between them will widen, which means the pupil will widen to allow more light to pass through.
Similarly if you draw the two curtains close the gap(pupil) will narrow down and less light will pass through

Likewise, ensure the same anonymity for the identity of the institution so no one can ever connect any dots to enable a slander, libel, defamation of character or invasion of privacy lawsuit in the future
Question: If my cats pupil is like big what does it mean? My cat's eyes turn like really big ( the pupil ) but sometimes it turns really thin, what does that mean?
Answer: Pupils grow large either to adjust to low light, or else as an adrenal response, just like humans! This adrenal response make the eye more alert to any movement - the eye becomes more sensitive to light and movement. It may be that it is scared - adrenalin is the "fight or flight" hormone, so your cats body is just preparing him to do one of the to if it needs to. Loud noises and quick hand movements towards an anxious cat can cause this!
The pupils go thin it the light is bright, to alow less light ino their eyes and thereby protect the inner eye.
Close your eyes in front of a mirror near bright light for half a minute andthen open them and watch your pupils shrink - its cool!

Question: How do you become someones pupil in My Brute? I keep trying to help ppl on here by becoming their pupil, but all its doing is trying to make me fight them? is this right?
Answer: You use the other person's Brute's address (like, martini12321.mybrute.com) and you must then make a new character on that page and then fight the other's Brute. I haven't found any way to make an existing character someone's pupil, and I don't think there is one yet.
Sooo, you must make a new character to be someone's pupil. Note that they receive one experience point per level gained for each of their pupils.

I think the thing is, that you need more than 'xyz' number of teachers to look after 'xyz' number of pupils, on a larger scale. I think I remember hearing it being 1 teacher to every 30 pupils or something?
Question: Why would a teacher consider getting rid of his pupil? Why would a teacher consider getting rid of his pupil?
I'm reading a book for class where the student outshines the teacher at magic tricks. For a personal response, I have to write an essay on "Why would a teacher consider getting rid of his pupil?" Any comments?
Answer: The pupil is rude and disruptive, making it impossible to teach. So the teacher tells the student to take the desk outside and do study hall instead.
Question: How Long Does It Take For Pupil Dilation End? I recently came from an Eye exam from my local ophthalmologist and he inserted several drops of pupil dilating drops in my eyes. He said that the eyes will be come normal over time, so I was wondering what is the amount of time in hours that it normally takes for the eyes to become normal? I'm worried because I can't see a thing up close or far, lol. Thanks in advance for your answers.
Answer: Generally, dilation of the pupil will last for three to six hours and will primarily affect your near or close up vision. However, it is not uncommon for dilation to last up to 24 hours for some patients depending on the eye drops used to achieve dilation. Different eye drops are used for various ages of patients. Most patients can drive home after their eye exam, and sunglasses are encouraged to be worn. Disposable sunglasses are usually provided for those patients who do not have sunglasses. If a patient feels uncomfortable driving home with his or her eyes dilated, it would be advisable to bring someone with you to drive.

Question: If your pupil is open to a radius of 1 mm, how much light energy passes through in one minute? in mJ? Light of intensity 2.5 W/m2 passes through the pupil of one of your eyes and eventually falls on your retina. The radius of the pupil is controlled by the iris. In a human eye, the radius of the pupil can vary from about 1.0 mm to about 3.5 mm. The area of the opening can be calculated from pi (3.1416) times the radius squared.
Answer: I = 2.5 W/m²
E = It A = 2.5*60*π(1x10-³)² = 471x10-^-6 J = 0.471 mJ
Question: Why does my pupil turn out white on pictures? I have lazy eye and astigmatism on my right eye. On pictures (mostly those taken with flash on) my pupil is completely white. Why does that happen?
Answer: Have you had your eyes looked at recently? Just that i saw this thing on the TV where this toddler kept on having white eye on photos and she had a tumour behind her eye. I know that i am freaking you out now but i really think you should get your eye checked. They may just say that it is fine but i am positive about this story as i was really freaked out by it. red eye is normal but i think that white eye may not be. See your optition, or even phone for advise. Good luck.
Question: Is it okay to put contact lenses directly on the pupil when putting it in? I got my contacts yesterday and the procedure that I'm following isn't quite what my doctor told me. I tried doing it the way where you 'look up' and look down and then it's in the right position, but it didn't work for me as well. I tried putting it directly on my pupil, then looking right left, down and up and it worked on my first try for both eyes. Is this okay?
Answer: This is how I put my contacts in also. I have never had any problems. Most people cannot touch their eyes. This why it is taught this way. Just make sure your hands are clean before putting in your contacts.
Question: How can a machine detect drug use by pupil dilation? There's a machine I've seen that is used for drug use detection as an alternative to urinalysis. I'm interested in learning more about it but there's no info anywhere to be found
All I know is that the client looks into the machine and it gives 2 or 3 bright flashing lights.
I do know drug use causes changes in pupil reaction to light, but what do you think the machine actually looks for?
Best answer awarded to the most detailed response concerning pupil/light reactions.
Answer: use perhaps the Riemann's dzeta function
Question: How are contact lenses made so that they always stay right on your pupil? This is something i've never understood. Even if you put it in your eye somewhere other than your pupil it'll still magically move there.
Answer: The cornea is the clear dome in front of the coloured part of your eye (the iris). The cornea is steeper & more curved than the flatter white of the eye. The contact lens has a steepness to match your cornea. This is why the lens follows your cornea when you move you eye & doesn't get left behind! If you move a soft lens (with a clean finger!) off your cornea, it should go back into place after a couple of blinks.
Question: How should a teacher deal with a quiet pupil? Please could someone give their advice on how to encourage a pupil, within a higher education college environment, to be more vocal within an English as a second language course.
Answer: i'm pretty much of a quiet student too. i had teachers approach me to make me talk before, but i was awkward, nervous, and just plain didn't know what to say. shy, i was.
i always wondered what teachers thought about quiet students, students who never talk in class, students who are shy, and i never got it. maybe that student's shy, and doesn't like opening up, but try to make sure that he or she Understand what you're teaching about. i mean, if he/she doesn't give you much reaction you wouldn't know what he/she's thinking or whether they understand, or not. so i suggest you hold him/her back after class and ask whether the lessons' going ok for them and whether they're having trouble.
and in class, perhaps, when you ask a question, ask it directly to the student. like say, so-and-so, can you answer this question on this page? and don't do it to her only! after that ask a few more students to stand up just so the student doesn't feel scared or embarrassed. and i hope your class' not big, for big crowds of people scare me, maybe that's your student's problem too. if the student displays negative reaction, it is my advice that you do not push him/her any further and let them work on their own. i tend to hate teachers who force me to speak up in class.
