Question: nasolabial folds and marionette lines? im 15 and i have nasolabial folds (those lines that come form your nose to your mouth) and marionette linnes.....and i mean im only 15 and i have like those folds bothering me and i hate it...i wonder if there is something i can do to make my face less fucked up but without surgery or these kind of things...and will gaining weight make those folds less visible?......help pleseee
Answer: they would be more visible if gaining weight
Question: Is there a non-surgical method to marionette lines on the sides of the mouth? I'm 54 and I have minor wrinkles on my face except for what is called "marionette lines" on either side of my mouth. When I smile they disappear into the smile folds, but other than going around with a permanent smile, is there a way to cosmetically hide them? I recall some cream or gel that could be used to hide them temporarily or smooth them over, but this was years ago, and I paid no attention to it then. I now use Revlon Age Defying Precise Wrinkle Eraser under my eyes, and it hides every line completely. I'm not expecting that with the marionette lines, but I would like to at least minimize their appearance. Has anyone found something that works, a cream, a concealer, a gel?
Answer: you could try Anew Deep Crease concentrate by Avon. It really does work wonders. i am an avon rep and my roomate uses it for her frown wrinkles on her forhead and they are almost completley gone. if you dont have an avon rep you can go to www.youravon.com/summerhatfield to order some or other anew products.
Question: Unreliable narrator: Is it possible for a person to have wrinkles so that they slightly resemble a marionette? “Facing us, she was no special age – an adult is an adult – but her face had two prominent lines, descending vertically from the sides of her mouth to her chin. I knew where I had seen those lines before: Pinocchio. They were marionette lines” (Baxter 2).
This is a quote from Charles Baxter's "Gryphon." It's told in the first person. Is it possible for the child narrator to exaggerate these wrinkles, making him an unreliable narrator?
Answer: The child narrator is not exaggerating about the winkles he has seen in this person because up until now this is probably the oldest person he has ever seen. And, as he remembers seeing the puppet this is were he is getting his comparison view.
A lot of older people will age like this if they tend to be on the slender side and have dry skin and have for years indulged in heavy smoking. Especially if their nasal features are large it will draw the skin down along the chin line.
The child narrator has just seen his puppet become real with out any exaggeration.
This was probably a person who never heard of skin lotion and had a hard and weathered life, I imagine Pinocchio would have been a little cutter.
Question: how to naturally remove Marionette Lines? 23 years old female
Answer: This safe, natural, minimal cost treatment really works miracles as users on Answers will testify.
Here’s one from "big papy":"Thank you Mukunda so much. I am greatly touched for your concern about my skin. I did continue the massage after tightening the skin around my mouth area and the lines are all most gone – thank you so much . You have changed my life! Also my crows feet are all most gone too. I finally look my age!"
To avoid skin pulling/stretching first tighten face by opening mouth 3/4" and pulling lips firmly back against the teeth
Lines from nose to side of mouth (also called nasolabial lines): Can be greatly reduced by massaging vigorously forward and back directly on and along lines with front and tips of index or second finger. Do both sides at same time. The rubbing friction does the work. In 6 to 12 days depending on vigorously/how often you do, you will see definite fading.and more fading every day. Use any oil - olive is good.
See my many B.A’s that give treatments that greatly minimize specific wrinkles and largely prevent/inhibit others forming. Some include precise instructions on how to massage to tighten and rejuvenate face skin and, more importantly, how to exercise/condition face muscles. It’s the aging/weakening of muscles that results in loss of skin tightness, then sagging that leads to wrinkling and lines.

Question: Cream for Laugh Lines? I highly doubt it, but is there anything at all that can instantly decrease the line (called nasolabial folds or marionette lines) or laugh lines? At one point there was a serum that tightened up that area, I can't remember what it was called that worked, but I lost mine - and the drug store no longer sells it.
Thanks.
Tfjhu - I'm asking about nasolabial lines. I don't have acne or skin issues.
Answer: I'm giving you Makunda M's advise. You can use essential oils with a messenger to get rid of your laugh lines in just a few days. They might not dissappear completely but you will see results. Apply the essential oil and do a back and forth message right on the area. This will tighten up the skin and eventually get rid of your laugh lines. Do this for 15-30 minutes a day. 10 minutes during the morning and another 10 at night before bed for equal balance. Or 15 minutes if you'd like.
I also have laugh lines and they're not easy to get rid of.
Question: What are the best skin care products for smile lines and sagging skin? I'm starting to get nasolabial folds (the deep "parentheses" that extend between the nose and mouth) and marionette lines (deep vertical lines around the chin--sort of like extensions of the nasolabial folds), and the corners of my mouth are starting to droop. I read that the most effective way to treat these is with injectable dermal fillers like collagen and Restylane, but I don't want to do that yet. What are some good skin care products that help to minimize these lines? And what are the most effective lifting/anti-sagging products? How about in the lower price range?
By "skin care products" I mean anything that is available over-the-counter.
Answer: Th best treatment for any lines are fillers, such as botox . I know it seems a bit drastic, so you have to way up how much they bother you.
Hope that helps
Question: which dermal filler would give me the best longest result, around the nose to mouth and mouth corner lines? My marionette lines seem to be getting deeper and I feel very concious about them. I went for a few consultations and they recommended Restylyne and perlayne or juverderm. What do you think. I lost weight rather quickly since Christmas, due to stress and depression which I am going through and getting treatment for. It seems to have taken alot out of me and I have noticed the changes in my skin and also my skin not so firm and I feel I am sagging abit around my mouth. Am I doing the right thing or can anyone suggest another alternative that will firm me up and help me to feel good about myself again!
Answer: Restylane will give you the longest result, but it is not going to fix sagging skin. You didn't mention your age. Sagging skin will usually contract, with time, if you are less than 30 -- and especially if you are less than 20. Be very cautious about anywhere that is willing to suggest dermal fillers if you are less than 20 -- your skin is still changing. If you lost a very large amount of weight (50+ pounds), then probably only a minor facelift would remove the sagging skin if you are over 25 or so. If you are experiencing malnutrition related to the weight loss or lost too much weight, regaining some weight and correcting your diet will help your skin regain its natural elasticity.
Question: where can i find marionette bridal veils on line?
Answer: If you mean a bridal veil for a marionette, then I would check out thepuppetstore.com. If you're looking for a brand or style of veil, check out houseofbrides.com, eBay, or BizRate.
Question: an escaped marionette? i just wrote this
tell me what you think!
:D
an escaped marionette
i always thought that i was me
but looking in the mirror
i now see
the marionette i used to be
but that was then
and now is here
im ready to be cut loose
and face all fears
no lines to follow
and none to trace
i'll be myself and
this you can quote
the person ive claimed to be was all just a mask
my mask is off though
and now i show with my actions who i am to be
and my actions are speaking
louder than my words
so see me now
without the strings
and finally tell me
what you really think
Answer: Wow...that's amazing.....You really put me to shame!! lol. I give you 87 stars. Man, I never should've asked people to judge my poetry when there are such better ones out there like this one. *sigh* ah well. This was great, I love it. Thanks for sharing!
Question: Perlane vs Juvidern vs Restylane? Any ideas as to longevity & price differences? I hope to have a full face lift end Sept. so don't want to spend a fortune at this time, but the person who did my marionette lines didn't do the 2 small lines or nasal labial folds above, so I feel a little ou of proportion. I had requested it before my app't, not sure why he didn't do those too!
Answer: My experience is that Restylane works great and is not too pricey. I love the result it gives and the doc is actually able to manupulate it some after they inject. The procedure is a little uncomfortable but most docs with give you an oral block before they get started. Expect some bruising for the first 5-7 days, although everyone is a little different so this could vary depending on how well you heal and etc.
Question: Has anyone tried Peptox wrinkle relaxing cream and Liptox. It is supposed to be an alternative to botox? looking for an alternative that will improve my skin and lines. I have developed marionette lines either side of my mouth, and my skin seems to lost all its plumpness, causing me to look abit loose around the jawline and mouth. What would be the best thing to try or do, as I am getting very depressed about the way my features are changing. This seems to have happened quite quickly, since xmas. Also, I seem to be loosing the corners of my mouth/Lips. What is happening and why so quickly.
Answer: Try PorcelainDOll with Orchid extract.
Its fabulous, made my skin firmer, lost wrinkles, made my face glow and made it supersmooth.
And for people like me who dont believe, they have sample sizes - its to hook you, I think.
Question: What is the dark shadow above my mouth? For about two years I've suffered from fatigue and weight loss, and I've noticed changes in my face over that period of time.
I have two dark patches of skin that stretch from my nose down past my mouth. I also have very heavy skin on my upper lip that seems to hang on the corners my mouth unattractively, like marionette lines.
It's definitely not hair, and I'd like to get rid of it, but I have no idea what it is and how. To make matters worse, I'm only 17. Ideas?
small image of mouth area: http://img191.imageshack.us/content_round.php?page=done&l=img191/3387/screenshot20100126at200.png&via=mupload
Answer: ive had that problem for a long time, since I was young (younger than you are now) and i thought it was a "moustache", well since Ive been waxing the upper lip since I was 14 and it's still there.
My sister has it too. It's just pigmentation.
I usually just put concealer on it, like you would on undereye circles
Question: Can anyone give me the name of a 2 legged fluffy puppet from this description? A friend of mine has a 2 legged, long necked, fluffy marionette puppet of undetermined species. It stands about waist height when you hold the control thingy. I think they were popular some years ago. Anyway, my other half has decided that she absolutely must have one so I am trying to find one for her. (I’m either super lovely or mad, I haven’t decided yet)
Anyway, my friend got hers from the gadget shop a few years ago and I have looked on line but can’t find it. My big problem is that I don’t know what it is called. From my description can anyone tell me what it’s called, or the manufacturer and where I can look? Thanks.
Answer: I know exactly what you mean! They were so popular!!
I know some people have already given you websites but here's one I found...
Question: How can I advertise and sell puppets online??? Hi, I'm a puppeteer and I make custom designed puppets, such as hand puppets, marionettes etc...What I would like to know is if there is a place there I can either advertise and sell any on line for Free if possible??
Is there such a place? and I don't want to sell any on eBay.
Thanks to everyone who answers!!! :)
Answer: Oh, we should so swap tips!! I'm a puppet maker, and just set up an online store.
I have to agree, advertising is tough. I regularly post on a few theatre websites that I'm known on - but I have to admit, you should really go to Puppets and Stuff.com. We're all puppet makers, and all of us regularly post news of our latest products. Additionally, you may want to think of doing some link exchanges with some of the great puppet bloggers out there.
I'm the same, in that I don't want to sell on ebay either. A number of puppet makers are selling on etsy.com. It's not free, but the fees are so low, it's practically for free.
If you want to have a chat and exchange ideas, do contact me. (My profile name is my website: contact details are there)
Question: poem I found from way back when? From this moment on
I will breath
taking life not so seriosly
live by faith
and walk with god
yet carve my own path into my log
show the world who I can be
not nesesarilly what other people will see
I'm going to be me
from this moment I swear
a sacred promise to myself
to never pretend
never regret
and keep going forward
no specific way
no lines to follow
I'm cutting these strings
and I'm no longer that marionette,
the one that always thought to be different.
Answer: I would work on stanza breaks, but it is a good poem
Question: Stumbling today, will you C/C please? I'd really like to embellish on this.
When we finally get the call,
do we answer, can we still dream
of being almost tall,
lean, expressive in our dance
suspended as marionettes on fine lines
or are we most free to dare to chance
when it gets to be our time?
Answer: I hope my time is waiting behind the curtains, along with yours.
we need to live a bit longer we each have something to give that we have not yet found
and when we do ... we may well be happy enough to accept our lots in life.
tomorrow embellish
today, rest
Question: This is a poem I wrote. Please give me your comments? A Space Creature
The night is like a cut
A cut of my strings
In the great puppet art
Of my dreams
I stumble around in a daze
A daze in my metered maze
My limbs again
My wooden dreams
My trapping parts
Of these puppet arts
These ties make me
My strings exceed me
As the puppeteer
As is me
In a paste of twine
A chreographed line
In dancing I would cut
Such that I as my dreams may dream
Of my great art of act of art
I am voiced in far off ventriquilisms
Far off in the shadows of color and prisms
There are no eyes here
The eyes echo in the shadows
They echo in the shadows
My lines are scripted
In a theater they are whispered
Of a dreaming dreamt dream
Of dreamers and dreams
I am a deformed muppet
A broken trumpet
A snipped string clings to my arm
It is still
It is the Sutradhara
The holder of strings
A marionette
Like the night
Cold in the age of robot space flight
Answer: I love it! Ventriloquisms and choreographed may have been spelled wrong but the poem was snappy and unfolding. I know very little about poetry but I hope my opinion helps.

Answer: this poem takes me back, i think of when i had puppets hanging on a rack, there were two, with strings, and two made of socks, it makes my heart sing, to read a poem about puppets, it really rocks, to hear of your dreamy dreams, in the night, of space flight, cold and dark, but these puppets make me happy as a lark
to imagine all this far off ventriliquism, makes me feel the thrill of some far off voices speaking iin signs and secret symbolisms, alphabets that spell out shadows and mystical colors as though in prisms, actually this talk of puppets gives my heart a groovy rhythm,
so in wooden dreams i go, happy dancing to and fro, instead of stumbling around in a daze, i think puppets in the night is such a new found craze,
and such a great time with trapping parts, it is such a beautiful wine, with pasted twine, why not dream these wooden within these wooden mazes, i love the times of puppet art and their in depth phases,
did i like your poem, it made me get a twinge and also a start, it made me think of home, and also there where should be my heart, in such a place of warm wood, and string, please to my eyes another puppet bring, i did like your poem
Question: Please i need help on my author??? I need literary devices in this essay by virginia woolf please im very desperate
Old Mrs. Grey
There are moments even in England, now, when even the busiest, most contented suddenly let fall what they hold—it may be the week’s washing. Sheets and pyjamas crumble and dissolve in their hands, because, though they do not state this in so many words, it seems silly to take the washing round to Mrs. Peel when out there over the fields over the hills, there is no washing; no pinning of clothes to lines; mangling and ironing no work at all, but boundless rest. Stainless and boundless rest; space unlimited; untrodden grass; wild birds flying hills whose smooth uprise continue that wild flight.
Of all this however only seven foot by four could be seen from Mrs. Grey’s corner. That was the size of her front door which stood wide open, though there was a fire burning in the grate. The fire looked like a small spot of dusty light feebly trying to escape from the embarrassing pressure of the pouring sunshine.
Mrs. Grey sat on a hard chair in the corner looking—but at what? Apparently at nothing. She did not change the focus of her eyes when visitors came in. Her eyes had ceased to focus themselves; it may be that they had lost the power. They were aged eyes, blue, unspectacled. They could see, but without looking. She had never used her eyes on anything minute and difficult; merely upon faces, and dishes and fields. And now at the age of ninety–two they saw nothing but a zigzag of pain wriggling across the door, pain that twisted her legs as it wriggled; jerked her body to and fro like a marionette. Her body was wrapped round the pain as a damp sheet is folded over a wire. The wire was spasmodically jerked by a cruel invisible hand. She flung out a foot, a hand. Then it stopped. She sat still for a moment.
In that pause she saw herself in the past at ten, at twenty, at twenty–five. She was running in and out of a cottage with eleven brothers and sisters. The line jerked. She was thrown forward in her chair.
“All dead. All dead,” she mumbled. “My brothers and sisters. And my husband gone. My daughter too. But I go on. Every morning I pray God to let me pass.”
The morning spread seven foot by four green and sunny. Like a fling of grain the birds settled on the land. She was jerked again by another tweak of the tormenting hand.
“I’m an ignorant old woman. I can’t read or write, and every morning when I crawls down stairs, I say I wish it were night; and every night, when I crawls up to bed, I say, I wish it were day. I’m only an ignorant old woman. But I prays to God: 0 let me pass. I’m an ignorant old woman—I can’t read or write.”
So when the colour went out of the doorway, she could not see the other page which is then lit up; or hear the voices that have argued, sung, talked for hundreds of years.
The jerked limbs were still again.
“The doctor comes every week. The parish doctor now. Since my daughter went, we can’t afford Dr. Nicholls. But he’s a good man. He says he wonders I don’t go. He says my heart’s nothing but wind and water. Yet I don’t seem able to die.”
So we—humanity—insist that the body shall still cling to the wire. We put out the eyes and the ears; but we pinion it there, with a bottle of medicine, a cup of tea, a dying fire, like a rook on a barn door; but a rook that still lives, even with a nail through it.
Answer: The laundry is a metaphor that continues throughout the essay. First paragraph: Clothing and the care of it stands for the human body. We wash it, feed it, live our lives, and then when we are done (clothing wears out) we want to be finished and go to that "boundless rest." This stands for the eternal rest which follows death. Third paragraph: author compares old woman's body to a damp sheet folded over a wire, another connection of the ephemeral (the body) to the clothes.
The "colours" of her life have faded and gone away; she has no family and her body (the shell or clothing) gives her great pain. She doesn't even have the company of books or letters. She wishes for her boundless rest but there is no way to reach it. Our society's so-called humanity stops us from giving her what she hopes for. She is preserved by medical science like a butterfly on a pin. So she sits there looking vaguely through her door, an empty set of clothes.
