Question: What is the best laser for my hair removal? I have Fitzpatrick Skin Type I or II, but very light fine hair.
Answer: TweeZe
Question: Fair hair removal? Dark hairs are easily permanently removed by light pulse therapy or laser. But what if you are fair with light hair and want your hair permanently removed? People think having light hair means that the hair isn't a problem. But if you are suffering hirsutism, especially as a female, it is highly noticeable, embarrassing constantly, and means you have to remove the hair from your face every few days--which is extremely painful. Those who do permanent hair removal are blase when finally informing a fair-haired person that they are not eligible. Surely there must be some safe and practical permanent hair removal solution for those with Fitzpatrick skin types I and II!!!
Answer: Have you considered electrolysis? I am not sure of it's effectiveness for people with Fitzpatrick skin types, but you may want to look into it further to find out if electrolysis is appropriate for your skin type? It is said to be the only proven form of permanent hair removal, BUT it is also the most expensive method as well. If you choose electrolysis, be careful about who you go to. Not all electrologists are good at what they do. When done improperly, electrolysis may cause permanent scarring of the skin which is being treated. I would suggest finding an electrologist who has a very good reputation, and who is also very experienced in their field. I think it would be especially beneficial to locate an electrologist who is not only is highly skilled and experienced, but one who also has experience in treating people with Fitzpatrick skin types as well. But, as I already stated - I am not entirely certain that this method of hair removal is appropriate for your skin type. An electrologist can answer that question for you. As for laser treatments, it is my understanding that some forms of laser treatments may work well for people with your skin type, and perhaps even better than electrolysis would. I am not familiar with either method enough to give you an accurate answer. I am basing my answers totally on my limited understanding of both methods of hair removal. I think it would be best to consult a professional about this. As the other person said in her answer, be careful and don't go to just anyone who can do laser treatments. This applies to electrolysis as well, as I already mentioned. Find a reputable, and experienced professional, and consult with them.
I hope this helps, and best of luck to you.
Question: Need help for chosing the right foundation shade for my skin tone?!!!? I`m a asian and My skin is Type IV:(Your skin is moderate brown; it rarely burns and tans easily) as The Fitzpatrick Scale.(It`s what i guess by seeing the scale)
My skin isn`t like the typical asian brown colour shade it`s more lighter than that infact i`m closer to the fair skin shade so i`m confused which shade to choose cause i don`t wanna look too much whitish or darker than my shade. But i do wanna look bright as i don`t have an even toned skin.My skin type is Dry to Combination(that`s so far i can guess since so many confusions). So can i use bobbi brown`s warm beige foundation stick for my skin. And may be Mac loose powder (NC20 shade) or clinique gentle light powder (glow 3 shade) over the foudation.
I tried maybellines mousse foundation in ivory shade and over that maybelline shine free pressed powder(ivory shade #1) and it made me look so whitish. I also tried maybelline aqua gel foundation in natural(12) shade and on top of that i used maybelline shine free pressed powder(ivory shade #1) and even that makes me look pale(but better than b4).I`m afraid to go on lower shades of pressed powder cause i think that`s gonna make my skin shade look darker.
Don`t know what to choose and don`t have any experts to get help from.
(by the way can i use transulent powders on my skin shade?).
I can`t go to any beauty counter cause my country doesn`t have any decent counters like that(most of the sales girls are clueless themselve and try to sell anything) And i`m getting this product by someone sending them for me from singapore (offcourse i gave out the cosmetic list).
Answer: You are better just sticking with Mac for now. They have every colour under the rainbow and they will be able to test them on you. Decide which type of Mac foundation you want and have a word with one of the beauty consultants.
Alternatively, go to a beauty counter where there are assistants to help, ie Bobby Brown.

Question: I want to be a model. What do you think? I really want to be a model. Do I have a good body for it? I'm 5'9, 117 lbs. BMI 17.3 and body fat 14.2% 34-25-33, i wear a 32c, size 3/4 (26/27) jeans and most of my tops are medium. My legs are 32/33 inseam... isn't that kind of short? I have light beige skin(type III Fitzpatrick), honey blonde hair and dark blue eyes. What do you think?
Answer: you're a bit too curvy
(it's about proportions)
bmi and weight don't play the role in modeling
it's how well you can fit into the clothes
Question: Salicylic acid and Hyperpigmentation? I plan on using 2% Salicylic acid topically 3 to 4 time a week for the next 3 months. Mainly on my face with the idea of it clearing my clogged pores.
One thing that is has been bothering me is that I came across some text that suggested that using Salicylic acid on darker skin toned individuals can cause hyperpigmentation. =(
It states: "Use of concentrated solutions of salicylic acid may cause hyperpigmentation on unpretreated skin for those with darker skin types (Fitzpatrick phototypes IV, V, VI), as well as with the lack of use of a broad spectrum sunblock."
Please help me understand this. I don't want to get hyperpigmentation.
-Thank you
Answer: Ya it probably isnt a good idea to use that because there is a good chance that it can cause hyperpigmentation. If your just trying to keep your face clean then just use a face wash. Hope i helped.
Question: Can you tell me whether my skin tone is warm, cool or neutral? Okay so I have dark olive skin... It's like a medium tone with a strong yellow undertone which can sometimes look a little green. I wear mac NC30 foundation which matches up with my skin perfectly. The NC bit would suggest that my skin is cool of course, but I'm not so sure. I do sometimes get a little redness in my skin, especially on my arms and face. I have been to a few dermatologists for treatment they said I have skin type 4 'Fitzpatrick scale'. I have very dark hair and grey eyes.
Any ideas as to whether I am warm, cool or neutral? And based on this what kind of make up would suit me? Thanks :)
Answer: your warm tone skin if you have yellow undertones and nc30 in mac is warm tone shades nc is like yellow undertone shade and nw is pinkish you most likely warm tone shades like yellow undertones.
