Question: What is the best depilatory cream for the pubic region? I'm preparing to use a depilatory cream but would like a public opinion about what particular brand is the best and most successful for pubic hair.
Thanks! :)
Answer: I think Nair is better than Veet. But personally I just shave it all off, although a friend of mine treated me to a Brazilian at the spa and it was fantastic!
Question: Is it safe to use a depilatory cream after exfoliating the skin? I want to exfoliate my skin tomorrow so that I have soft and smooth skin for my boyfriend, but I also want to use a depilatory cream on certain parts of my body. Will this irritate my skin? If so, should I use one method before the other or just not use the cream at all?
Answer: Haahaa ah.. depilatory creams while painless, they burn off a layer of skin so that the hair can be removed. The hair grows back just as quickly as if you did it with a razor, with the only difference that you've just burnt off a layer of dermis.
If you wanna go that route, I really really suggest for you to not exfoliate your skin prior to using cream, because more than likely it really will irritate it.
If you have sensitive skin I don't recommend using depilatory creams, as they can even leave burn marks D:
You can always wax or use an epilator. It hurts like hell, but it's safer.
Good luck.
Question: What is a good (proven) way to treat a depilatory cream burn? I just used a depilatory cream on my face. I noticed it was tingling, so I washed it off. I followed up with the topical cream meant to help the skin. However, it is red and still stinging. I assume this is a chemical burn, and would like to know what are some ways to treat this?
Any real tips would be helpful.
Answer: Aloe vera gel works well for me when this happens. Try one of the more natural ones that doesn't have very many chemicals, like Lily of the Valley or Fruit of the Earth. I've had really good luck with using the kind of aloe vera gel that can be consumed (found at health food stores), but I don't think you'd have to go that level with things.
I've also had good luck with dabbing some cocoa butter on when the burn is in the latter stages of healing.
The main thing is to not use anything that will irritate the skin in the area of the burn. No harsh soaps, cleansers, astringents, anything.
Right after I had one of those burns, I found that cold compresses helped to get rid of some of the pain and the slight swelling I had--but I had a decent sort of burn, so you might not need to use one.
Question: How can I get rid of peach fuzz; are depilatory creams a good idea? I have golden peach fuzz all over my face
My skintone is dark so it's very noticeable especially when I'm in the sun.
How can I get rid of it? Any specific cream I should use?
I prefer not to shave/wax it, and I can't afford to laser it off or w/e.
I'm planning on using a depilatory cream; is that a good idea? And does it make hair grow back quickly like shaving?
Answer: haha I waxed my mustache off. Don't be such a baby! :3 lol
Question: Does using Depilatory creams remove hair without making it grow back stubbly with more hair? Does using Depilatory creams like Veet remove hair effectively without causing stubble. Also does it make hair grow back more, and in other places where it wasn't before.
Answer: there is no stubble
Question: Is it safe to use depilatory cream very often? I dont usually use depilatory cream but i did use veet depilatory cream once this month....and my legs felt unbeleivably smooth....but i got some tiny stubble like 2 or 3 days later...so i was wondering if it would be safe to use a depilatory cream about twice a week( every 3 or 4 days) on my legs cuz of the chemicals, and also will it make my hair more course.
Answer: Since you didn't have any sort of reaction to the cream when you used it, you should be fine to use it as often as you need to. Nothing will change the texture of the hair as it grows out; the texture of your hair is mostly decided by your genes and state of health, not a cream used externally, so, no, the cream won't make the hair more coarse.
Question: What is the best (strong, but gentle) depilatory for the face? I can't stand to have hair on my face. I wax my cheeks and between my eyebrows, but I have resorted to shaving my upper lip, chin and below my chin because I can't wait for it to grow long enough to use wax. Plus, there are about 10 hairs that are coarse and I don't want anyone to notice them. So I'm thinking I need a good depilatory that works fast, doesn't burn and removes the hair below the surface so that I don't have to do it everyday.
Please don't insult my intelligence with wives tales. Shaving does NOT make hair grow back worse nor does it grow back more coarse. It only seems that way because it's new hair that has been wacked off leaving a flat edge as opposed to a tapered one that has grown for a length of time. And you CAN'T make your body produce more hair follicles by shaving it. Please do not answer questions with crap just to earn a couple points.
Answer: SurgiCream seems to be very gentle. Only about as strong as any other though. As far as I know, the only way to remove hair below the surface of the skin is to wax. Everything else only removes the hair above the surface.
Question: Interested in some depilatory creams for men for hair removal? I am talking about the pubic / genital region, is there any good depilatory creams that will work on both areas without damaging the tissue? I don't want to shave because the last few times I have tried my skin ended up getting really irritated, Waxing could be another option; but the cream seems like the easiest way to go?
Remember, I am looking for a complete hair removal down below; My area gets rather hairy and it looks really unappealing, and I am tired of trimming it every few days!
Answer: you should be really really careful with doing this and take your time...if your def 100% sure you are going to use them i would try to find ones that are made just for sensitive areas and apply test spots to see if your sensitive before you go all in....why not just shave in the shower? probably alot easier and most likely safer..unless you slip and fall
Question: will using a depilatory cream for my hair remove my tan? i want to remove the hair on my legs with a depilatory cream but i recently have been using self tanner. will it remove the tan, and will it also remove a natural tan?
Answer: no, it will only affect the hair, not your skin
Question: What is the best depilatory creme? I wax or shave, but I have sensitive skin and I don't like the irritation. With that in mind, I was wondering what would be the best depilatory creme or method to use for your legs to avoid the skin problem?
Answer: i like sally hansen spray-on shower-off. its really easy to use, and it doesnt cause redness or irritation! i love it and ive tried nair and veet so far its my fav. u can get it at drugstores
Question: What depilatory should I use on my legs? Shaving my legs is a real pain. I want to use a depilatory on my legs but I don't know what to use. What do you use? How long does it last? Thanks :)
Answer: Veet is supposedly really good, havent tried it yet though. i've been waxing or shaving but the chicken skin is just too ..ick. i've read it lasts for about a week, plus it's not painful and it's done in like 10 minutes, tops!
Question: Does the hair regrow thicker with depilatory creams? What is the effectiveness of depilatory creams? can i use it for removing my upperlip hair?
Answer: It looks like it grows thicker because by using depilatories, you're basically cutting the hair. Since the hair doesn't end in a fine tip/point, it looks darker and more hairy.

Question: What is the best at home depilatory solution? Have used Sally Hanson's-joke, used cheap brand and had to use fingernail polish remover to get off of hands. Creams like Nair dont touch my course hair. I would like to try NADs but am afraid it will not work either. I saw a woman at the salon use a hot wax on someones eyebrows and would like to know it heated waxing is better?
Answer: I used Nads once before- it works AMAZING, BUT you have to use it under the perfect conditons, something about room temperature or something like that..... If it's not EXACTLEY to those specifications, it does not work well AT ALL. Also, it still hurts when you put it ON your hair and only sometimes its "painless" when you pull it off, it depends where and how far the root is.......
Question: How come depilatory creams dont work well for me? I follow the directions but it never takes away all the hair and the hair that does get removed grows back quickly......
Answer: I have the same problem.
Question: How can I get depilatory wax off of my countertop? My little brother got a hold of it while it was hot and spilt it everywhere and I don't know how to clean it off!!

Question: what is the best depilatory cream for underarms and is suitable for sensitive skin? anyone knows any cream that can remove unwanted hair but doesn't irritate a sensitive skin. i need women who has experienced it already..thanks a lot!
Answer: As far as I know, ALL depilatory creams are made with LYE (sodium hydroxide) and that's the same stuff that is used to unclog blocked drains and eat paint off walls! Do you REALLY want to put that on your sensitive skin??
I have very sensitive underarms and I get mine waxed about once every six weeks. The first couple times it hurt like a #&)^$%! but now it's just a little uncomfortable. Your best bet is to go to a federally-approved beauty school with an esthetics department and have it done there. You'll pay a lot less than you would in a spa and the students are all supervised.
Question: what works for removing depilatory wax from wood? my mother does waxing at her home and she accidententaly tipped it over and it got all over her dresser. its really sticky. is there anything that will remove it completely?
Answer: ok, one thing you can do is freeze it with ice and then it will break off . if that doesn't work try some oil. like the kind that comes in the at home waxing kits. this way will take a lot of rubbing and it will be messy but it should work. It completely removed it for me. Just got to put some work into it. Hope that helps
