Question: How many courses does the average DDS student take per semester in dental school? Kind of wary here about all of the courses one has to take. I heard it was significantly more than in college -- instead of 12 to 15 or less per semester, 22 or more per semester any year in dental school for the dds program. Does this also mean that dental students have no semesters off (ie can't take summer semester off?) Please respond to both questions. Thank You

Question: Can anyone help a foreign DDS graduate who wants to apply for postgrad studies in the US or Canada? I am going to be completing my DDS degree soon, and I want to know if anyone can help me out regarding postgrad studies in the US or Canada.. Is it easy to get accepted? What do I need? Any schools recommended? Do you know any foreign students who have done this? Any info would be appreciated.

Answer: In Canada, foreign trained dentists are evaluated by the RCDS (Royal College of Dental Surgeons)...and then assigned to varying lengths of a course at the University of Toronto to be licenses...typically 1 1/2 to3 years. Further information can be had from the RCDS or the Faculty of Dentistry...University of Toronto...124 Edward St....Toronto, Ontario. Canada. In some measure the length of the course depends upon where the applicant took his/her DDS...and if he/she practiced....and the length of time he/she practiced.

Question: What is the difference between DDS and BDS? WHich field is more beneficial and advantageous and why ? DDS and BDs both are the undergradute degrees for dentistry . which one is better. what are the differences and similarities . Answer: The University of Florida has a combined degree program for dentistry. Basically your fourth year of undergraduate schooling also counts as your first year of graduate schooling. So now you would only need three years of graduate school.

I don't know if you remember but, the shows characters were animated the same way as glenn martin dds and one of the characters was a red cat,, who I think was the main person of the show. It's story lines was kind of like the even Stevens ones.

Question: How will I provide for myself while trying to get my DDS Dental School? I am worried of how I will be able to provide for myself properly while attempting to finish Dental School and earn my DDS. No I am not in Dental School just yet,but driving toward it. I know it's foolish to think of such perhaps. But it's picking at my mind. I'm in my mid 20's living with my family still. I have a girlfriend,we plan to move in together in a few years. These are my plans. Eight whole years however. That is going to be hard without enough income coming in. Will Dental School assist me with doing part time work somewhere so I will be able to provide for myself if I get my own place? What recommendations do you guys give? Answer: that wood be nice but like anybody else have you tried the employment office. You'll have to live like everyone else till you graduate. Then you can disappear into the woodwork and throw around the big bucks and snap your fingers

Answer: You will need to have a Bachelors degree as a prerequisite for Dental school. I do not think that there is the program that you are looking for./

Question: How do I save DDS files in photoshop? Every time i go to click save in the Nvidia DDS format it's blanked out. I tried everything and i can't get the save button un blanked. I'm really new to this and I can't find any simple tutorials. Please help, It would be very appreciated.

Question: How do I convert a .dds file into a jpg without photoshop? I've spent the last 3 hours or so just trying to convert one .dds file and its starting to really frustrate me... I've tried several programs, most of the programs didn't work, either because the program itself was corrupted or the result of the file that was "converted" became corrupt, other programs were vague, had no instructions, I couldn't even find intructions anywheres on the internet, and honestly looked to be an incomplete program with several errors... Can someone PLEASE help me?

Question: How authentic are the home PC job offers demanding DDs before you are accepted? These companies offer home Jobs. But a certain amount is to be paid for the software before one can start work. One even offers a refund if performance is not up to the mark.

Answer: Before sending any money to any of them research them through the Better Business Bureau. Most of the time the great sounding "work at home" jobs are scams. Also the old adage "if it sounds to good to be true, then it isn't" works in most cases

Question: What do the different DDs mean in dentistry? I'm told I'm either a DD1 or DD2 and I get the impression that if you are a DD4 your mouth is going to be a challage. So what does it all mean?

Answer: At my school we refer to the amount of hard deposits (calculus/tarter) on a persons teeth as classes. For example; Class 1: has minimal deposits, up to Class 4: which has deposits on every tooth and every surface (mesial, cervical, and distal a.k.a. towards the mid line, on the neck, and away from the mid line). I am guessing that you are referring to the same thing. Maybe the DD stands for Dental Deposits.

Question: What is the grading rubric on the tasks for georgia dds road skills test has you perform? Such as What are the total points for parallel parking and what happens if yolu fail parallel parking. Or whaat if you hit a cone. Or what happens if you fail the back in and the parallel park. Or if you just make a slight mistake such as turn signal. What are the rules and regulations on how they go about taking points off and what are the amount of points taken off for the instances above. And if you fail when can you take the test agian?

Answer: You have to wait a week before you can take the test again. If you are worried about all those point deductions maybe you should practice a bit more.

Question: What is the difference between the dental titles of DDS and DMD? Which of these would have more experience?

Answer: THESE ARE ONLY THE NAMES FOR THE DEGREE WHICH THE DENTAL SCHOOL AWARDS THE STUDENT. A DDS IS A DOCTOR OR DENTAL SURGERY WHILE THE DMD IS A DOCTOR OF MEDICAL DENTISTRY. THEY ARE BOTH EQUIVALENT.

Question: What are the advantages of having a DDS/MBA? Is having a DDS enough? Or would an extra year to get an MBA as well be useful in opening up my own practice and hiring other dentists to work for me? What are the advantages?

Answer: not worth the time to be honest. just do the dds if dentistry is what you want to do. mba is for business people.

Question: How do I edit the DDS files in Flyff using Cinema C4D? I play a game online called Flyf For Fun, or FlyFF, and I want to edit my weapons and armor. I installed Cinema C4D and tried to open a DDS file but it says it can't read it. Can anyone link me to a plugin download for it that supports DDS? Or a link to a program that can edit its shape size and color? Paint.net doesn't do it.

Answer: I dont think that the DDS file and the flyff scripts would let the model be changed from a C4D. I used to play flyff for a long time, and ive never seen a custom equipment. It will just be local (for just your computer), (the universal files must be changed from the hosting servers and computers), so what would be the point? And you dont know what type of security they have for messing with the files. I quickly googled this, and DDS files can be edited with a plugin in photoshop. If you dont take my warnings, try googling a little about it.,

Question: Is a DDS qualified to extract wisdom teeth? I have horizontally impacted wisdom teeth. I went to a dentist who says he can extract them. He has a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the US (I'm in Canada) and also a certificate from the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in general dentistry. But I see some other dentists who are oral and maxillofacial surgeons, which from my understanding have special education beyond the DDS degree. Should I seek an oral and maxillofacial surgeon instead, or is there no difference for my operation?

Answer: Many general dentists are very capable of doing a good job in removing wisdom teeth. Some want no part in doing even the easiest of extractions. Your dentist sounds like he feels he could handle your teeth with no problem. If you do want to see a specialist, or want to be put under with IV sedation or a general anesthetic, then you can ask him to be referred to an oral surgeon. Good luck.

Question: My DDS said i need my 4 front teeth removed what am i in for? besides pain how long off work? I had a tumor taken out last year but my 4 front teeth are loose and need to be removed. I don't want to walk around with no teeth .Feel me in on whats going to happen.What can i do i'm freaking out i'm only 49 HELP!

Answer: The dentist should have discussed options with you on replacing the teeth. Everyone is different, but the general options would be implants, a bridge or partial denture. They should make you a temporary denture to wear while you are healing. The time out of work is really up to you. As far as physical pain, you should need to be out for only a day or 2. But, placing implants or bridges can be a long process. No matter what you choose for the replacement teeth, you will likely need to wait at least 6-8 weeks before anything permanent can be placed. If you are comfortable going to work with whatever temporary device they make you, then this should not be a problem. However, if you do not want to go back until the entire process is over, then you could be out for up to 2-3 months.

Question: How do I save as a DDS file in Photoshop? I downloaded the plug in and I can't find the option where I go to save it as a DDS file. What am I doing wrong? P.S. I tried CS4 and CS3

Answer: Type "glenn martin" in Twitter, and some weird sites touting streaming episodes pop up. Also, check out the sites for sky tv (in the UK) and CITY TV, the Canadian outlet. Plus, i-tunes.
