Question: How do you cap off old knob and tube wiring running to a light bulb in the closet? I demoed the closet wall to put closet doors in and have it down to the studs. I found two wires running down a bare stud to an old light bulb socket fixture and I want to remove this fixture and cap off the wiring. Do I put a junction box on one of the studs, run the wires through it and cap it off with safety nuts and then cap the box? Do I need to leave the junction box cap flush with the drywall for access?
Answer: As the wife of an electrcian ~ I would HIGHGLY reccomend that you hire a licensed electrcian to come to your house and take a look at it themselves.... I have heard to many horrible stories of things gone wrong because a homeowner decided to take matters into their own hands. Also, most Electrical Contractors will come to your house and give a Free Estimate on how much your job will cost them to do - don't be afraid to call a few different companies and compare prices!
Good Luck and please hire a Professional!!!!
Question: What type of bottle caps do I need to use to make resin filled bottle cap magnets? I really want to make resin filled bottle caps. I have found all of the information that I need online. My only question is: do I need to buy the bottle caps with the liners or without the liners? Does it matter? It seems that the ones without the liners would be easier to work with, but I have been looking at "how to" websites all day and none of them mention what type of bottle cap to use. What do you recommend?
Answer: Little kings work the best!
Question: What is the function of the ‘cap" during the processing of mRNA? A) The cap is placed at the 5' end to tell the ribosome where to attach when translation begins.
B) The cap is placed at the 3' end to facilitate the transport of mRNA into the nucleus.
C) The cap is placed at the 5' end to inhibit mRNA degradation by proteolytic enzymes.
D) All of the above statements describe functions of the ‘cap' during mRNA processing.
Answer: Capping the 5' with a 7-methyl cap is a post TRANSCRIPTIONAL not translational.
Proteolytic enzymes degrade Proteins, not RNA or DNA. Exonucleases degrade RNA and DNA. so C is wrong.
B is wrong since the cap is on the 5'
D is wrong because B and C are wrong.
A is therefore the only correct answer.
Question: What is the cap of the mushroom called and what is its main function? Help!! I think its main function is to grow gills which are covered with basidia, and basidia produces spores, which are small, reproductive cells protected by a thick cell wall.
This is for a lab write up. I have no idea what the mushroom cap of the mushroom is called. I searched endlessly for it in my textbook, but no luck. I also think that I could've expanded a little more about the function of the cap, but I really don't know!
Any help is appreciated...thank you very much!
Answer: You're actually correct as is! I believe cap is the correct term used, at least most widely!
Question: How do I cap the tips of my high heeled shoes? I have worn out the heel on my favorite shoes so the metal is now exposed on the base of my heels? I would like to fix this problem myself. How do I cap the heels? Where can i get those rubbery caps they put on your heels at the shoe repair place? What kind of tools will I need?
Answer: You can have the shoe repairman (cobbler) repair them for just a few bucks, and it will be a PROFESSIONAL job. You don't want to look like one of those guys who wears tape on his glasses, now --do you?
Question: The cap to my coolant reservoir has a short black tube attached to it. What does this tube connect to? I have a 97 Chevy Tahoe and while filling the coolant reservoir I noticed that there was a short black tube attached to the cap. The tube seemed to be loose and did not attach to anything. I have never noticed this before and am a complete dud when it comes to cars. Where does this tube attach and how can I reattach it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Question: How does a cervical cap feel during intercourse for the male? I am considering using the cervical cap as a method of birth control. I am concerned as to whether my partner will feel the cap during intercourse, and if it will hurt him at all. For those of you who have used it, can you give some feedback? Thanks!
Answer: The cervical cap is not a very effective form of birth control. That has nothing to do with your question but I thought it was important information.
Question: can you cap the water line to the fridge without shutting off the water? I'm completing the sale of my home tomorrow and of course need to take my fridge. it's connected to the water line which we soldered in. so it's not a saddle valve. Is there a small cap I can buy for that line so I can shut it off without having to turn off the water to the entire house?
Answer: If there is no shutoff for the line to the fridge, you're going to have to either turn off the main or deal with a pretty good spill. I'm assuming that the line is copper all the way to the fridge because you mentioned it was soldered. If you're going to do it with the water on, have everything all set up to do it fast.
It would be difficult but not impossible to just cap it with the water on using a compression fitting cap but an easier way would be to have a 5 gallon pail handy and pop the line off at the back of the fridge, point it at the pail and quickly install an in-line compression type shutoff valve set to the open position. after its tightened down, simply close the valve and the water will stop flowing into the bucket.
If you install a cap or the shutoff valve in the closed position you would have to deal with the water pressure throwing it off and it would be difficult to get on correctly.
Most hardware stores or big box home improvement stores will have a good selection of brass fittings that will be able to serve your needs and yours is not an uncommon problem. Before you go, measure the exterior diameter of the flexible copper line, common sizes for fridge water lines are 1/4 in. and 3/8 in.. Plastic quick-connect fittings are a little cheaper than brass and are also an option, but with the water on you may want to buy two to have on hand in case the first one fails to seat correctly, for this reason I would use brass.

Question: What could I put inside an unstructured ball cap to make it look more full? Structured ball caps sit too high on my head and the unstructured sit too low. There should be something that could be put inside the unstructured cap to make it look more full. Those paper inserts that come with the unstructured cap don't work to well.
Answer: Get one of those sweet visors with the see through tinted peak.
Question: How to open the stuck cap of tube of adhesive? I have a tube of adhesive that I have not used for a while and due to earlier spillage or whatever, the screw cap of the tube has got stuck. I am not able to unscrew and open it. I do not want to throw away the tube as it still contains a lot of adhesive. Most imp - I NEED IT now!
I tried mustard oil and alchohol as possible solvents to dissolve the adhesive near the cap but didn't help. The only option left is to try open the other end of the tube but I would take as the last option.
Can anyone help me here?
Answer: drill a small hole in the lid
Question: Can an extemely loose hub cap on my vauxhall astra cause wheel imbalance? Steering wheel wobbles at 60mph. Is this caused by the loose hub cap or do wheels need balancing and the hub cap is incidental?
Answer: If a hubcap is not centered when driving, then the weight isn't centered. I'd take the hubcap off and test it without.
Question: What happens when I put a sealed gas cap on instead of a vented gas cap? I planning on a go kart and was wondering if I took and briggs and Stratton 900 series engine took the vented gas cap off and put on a sealed non vented gas cap. The reason is if the kart flip I don't want gas all over me cause one spark can set all that off. Will it effect performance or ruin anything and also where are other places gas can leak?
Answer: Eventually the rubber hoses that feed gas into your carb would collapse and the engine could stall.
I accidentally sealed the vent in my gas cap in my old Dodge, that along with the blocked vent tube for
the fuel tank caused my gas tank to buckle inwards.
Question: What percentage of global market cap is represented by emerging markets? Also, what percentage of global market cap is represented by the US market? Can you provide a link to a site(s) that shows this information?
Regarding emerging markets, I've seen anywhere from 8% to 30% + stated as the emerging markets share of global market cap.
Thanks!
Answer: One problem is that these numbers are highly variable and depending on the countries included as "emerging".
Take a look here for some recent values and their change over time.

Question: How do you cap your upload speed to a certain program? I play a game which runs from a P2P system, however, being the sneaky person I am, how would one cap their upload speeds for a certain program or in fact for everything?
I have a BT Home Hub router if that would provide any help or assistance.
Answer: P2P, I guess that is a game console, those game consoles are writen in C and *nix.
Throttling bandwidth is fairly easy in any *nix system. can also cause a bad crash, so be very very careful.
A bunch of wikipedia links, took me four years+ of college and 28 years to learn that stuff.
I am still learning, and that is the fun.
Question: How do i wash a baseball cap without making it crinkle? i need to wash a baseball cap which turned a bit yellow with a cleaner i used, but everyother time i put a baseball cap in the washing machine, it would crinkle and ruin the hat, so how else can i wash the marks off?
Answer: I wash my hubbies ball caps in cold water and do not put them in the dryer. If you put them in the dryer it shrinks them and the bill of the hat crinkles and looks awful. Just dry the hat by sitting it on top of the dryer or somewhere where it is warm. Hope this works
Question: Do I cut the cap off the end of the wire or is it removable another way? I'm changing my phone jack from a 2nd line to the primary line. When the house was built we had a 2nd line put in in particular rooms. Recently we got rid of the 2nd line and I want to switch it.
I read about how to do that but my problem is with the wire caps! (I assume that is what they are called?) The blue/white and white/blue wires have something at the end of them. They have never been used in this telephone jack. I don't know how to remove the caps. I wanted to make sure I was doing it right. In all the material I read about how to switch the line there were no tips about this.
If I just need to cut it--great. But if you could detail how to cut it and what with that would be great (I'm no electrician). I tried pulling on the cap but nothing happened and I didn't want to force it.
Also, since the orange/white and white/orange wires will no longer be needed should they be capped? Or is it OK to leave them hanging loose?
Please help!
OK, I actually have the line working now. You were supposed to just twist them. Might have been a stupid question but I'd rather be safe than fried, so thanks for answering without going "DUH!"
So, now I have the orange/white, white/orange wires just...free and unused. Is this potentially dangerous? Should I buy caps? Can I leave them as is? Something else I should do with them?
Thanks.
Answer: ok if what you are talking about is plastic and red or yellow, its called a idc connector and is strickly used for telephone/data lines as wire cap is not able to be used properly for this. the site to see this is http://www.wingrovemarketing.com.au/idc-… these cannot be reused, and you can purchase replacements from any homedepot or lowes, just cut close to the connector and restrip about 1/8"-3/16". If the unused phone cable isn't hooked to the box then they do not have to be capped, it is suggested to totally disconnect the unused wire from the box and pull out the unused wire, but note if you do this that if you want to add in second line again you'll have to "fish" wire back to the box, so at very minimum cut flush all wires(clip them flush to the main outside wire sheathing, no bare wires), so not to confuse yourself or anyone working or buying the house in the future.
Question: How do you change a bayonet cap light bulb? I'm used to the screw cap, so I'm clueless what to do with a bayonet cap one.
Answer: Push in and turn anticlockwise. When it stops turning it can be pulled out. About a 1/16 of a turn.
Question: How much water leaks through your cap to your hair when you go swimming? I am of the impression that some water always gets in, was just wanting to enquire what the average amount is?
I find that wearing swimming caps really cuts out the circulation and gives me a headache, and yet most of my hair gets wet. I am not a competitive swimmer, so am not interested in preventing water drag, just protecting my hair.
I have done some research on a good hair care regime for swimmers, so will take care of my hair anyway.
Do I really need to bother wearing a cap?
Answer: the cap just makes the top of ur hair damp. if u put ur hair in a bun then put a cap on. you might be able to just take ur hair out of ur bun and ur hair could be ok. depends how naturally straight ur hair is. but if u have curly or wavy hair. just dont wear a cap, and whenur done swimming rinse ur hair and put gel in it
Question: What is the difference between hi cap and low cap magazines? I am new to airsoft and dont know what the difference is and whether i should buy high or low cap with my aeg?
Answer: Highcap = highcapacity
Lowcap = Low capacity
In airsoft terms the difference between highcaps and lowcaps isn't just the amount of ammo they hold. Highcaps are clockwork powered (or electrically driven in the case of box mags) magazines where a wound spring pushes the BB's up through the feed tube and into the gun. Highcaps will always have a winding wheel or some other type of winding mechanism.
Lowcaps are far simpler - the BB's are stored in a channel and pushed out of it by a sprung follower. Unlike highcaps they're silent and don't require anything more than filling them for them to work, the downside is they hold far less ammo.
