Drooping of the upper eyelid

Question: Hypokalaemic Alkalosis? Is it possible for hypokalaemic alkalosis (caused by persistant vomiting) and a very low potassium level, to cause nerve palsy of the third cranial nerve, accompanied with diplopia and blepharoptosis of the left eye.

Answer: Not as the sole cause.
