Question: How can I work my anterior deltoids without compressing the spine? I have a slightly herniated disc in the thoracic spine so i can't do anything that compresses my spine (ex: military press, hubcaps). I've found ways to work my middle and posterior delts with elastic bands but can't figure anything out for anterior deltoids. Does anyone have any excercises they know of that you could share with me?
Answer: what is anterior deltoids?
Question: What are the side effects of anterior sternoclavicle dislocation? Just had manipulation on right shoulder and capsular release! Now I have anterior strenoclavicle dislocation! What kind of sideaffects will i expect?

Pain tends to be more severe with posterior dislocations.
Additional symptoms may be caused by associated injuries or by compression of adjacent structures by a posterior SCJ dislocation.

Question: What percent do you stent a Left anterior descending heart artery? I have a 67% stenosis in my left anterior descending artery. My doctor says that he would not consider intervention until it reaches between 70% and 80%. He said that all of my other arteries are clear. He said he was afraid that he might block the artery permanently if stented at this point and that is too great a risk. Could it be that the blockage is from damage to the artery instead of a cholesterol problem. My cholesterol is 131 mgdl and my HDL is 29mgdl but in a good ratio.
Answer: The first line of intervention is usually medication. They will follow you closely with checkups and keep an eye on it through stress tests and if need be heart caths. If it gets worse they can do an angioplasty with a stent or just an angioplasty which is very similar to a heart cath but with ballooning the blockage to open up the artery. I have had both done and also a quadruple heart bypass and am doing just fine. I am still taking medication for lowering cholesterol and will most likely take it the rest of my life although my numbers have always been good with a good ratio too! Try not to worry and do what they tell you to do and you should be fine.

Question: What controls the release of hormones by the anterior pituitary? The anterior pituiatary is often referred to as the master endocrine gland, but it too has a master.
Answer: Nuclei in the hypothalamus
Hormones like cortisol can feedback on the ant. pit and prevent release of a hormone from there.
Question: What is the approximate distance from the posterior teeth to the anterior teeth? The posterior teeth of the human dentition are designed to crush food with 4 times more force than the anterior teeth. What is the approximate distance from the posterior teeth to the anterior teeth if the molar teeth are 4cm away from the fulcrum-temporomandibular joint.
Notes; The human jaw is a class 3 lever system
Notes; The average distance from the muscles to the fulcrum is 2cm and the incisors are 10cm away.
Answer: Sorry I don't have idea about that. But i can surely tell you that you will get your answer at http://www.dentech.co.in or Call 044-32545564, 044-21730801, 044-65175804
Question: Can anybody explain what is anterior and low lying placenta covering the os? The scan report says that "anterior and low lying placenta covering the os". Can you pls. tell me what exactly it means.
Answer: This is talking about where the placenta is located in the uterus.
Low lying placenta is not a good thing. That means that you have placenta previa. This is potentially a serious complication which is more of a concern later in pregnancy as the baby gets bigger.
I suggest talking to the doctor about his advice on plan of action for the course of this pregnancy so that the baby and mother will be healthy.
God bless.

Question: How do you distinguish between the posterior and anterior temporal lobe? The right and left temporal lobe is on the sides of the brain and Posterior is toward the back and anterior is toward the front so it doesn't make sense to refer to posterior and anterior
Answer: The brain is studied as a 3d organ, everything must be classified in 3d navigation. Being anterior is a way of describing a certain navigational area, like the frontal lobe of the cortex is anterior to the occipital, or closer to the front. There is Anterior/posterior or Rostral/caudal - front and back essentially, Dorsal/ventral - top to bottom sort of, Superior/inferior - Above and below, Medial/lateral - Middle to edge. Theres life 18 millions, those are most common.
Question: What hormones are released from the anterior and posterior pituitary glands? what hormones go from the hypothalamus to the anterior and posterior pituitary to a targeted organ?
Answer: Several hormones are released by the anterior pituitary:
gonadotropins (FSH and LH), adrenocorticotropin (ACTH), thyrotropin, and growth hormone (GH) are a few.
These are released in response to specific "releasing" hormones that come from the hypothalamus.
The hypothalamus also secretes a couple of hormones directly to the posterior pituitary, which then secretes them into the bloodstream. Thes are oxytocin and antidiuretic hormone (ADH).

Adrenocorticotropic hormone
Beta-endorphin
Thyroid-stimulating hormone
Follicle-stimulating hormone
Luteinizing hormone
Growth hormone

Question: What is the relationship between the hypothalamus, the anterior pituitary, and a chosen gland.? What is the relationship between the hypothalamus, the anterior pituitary, and a chosen gland.
Answer: The hypothalamus sends a horome to activate the pituitary or the "master gland", which sends hormones to a chosen gland to activate certain functions.
Question: I have a 6 week old baby whose anterior fontanel keeps falling in. How can I heal him? My step mom gave birth six weeks ago to my little brother. About 3 weeks ago, his anterior fontanel fell into his head, and we took him to my aunt to have her put it back up. It fell in again, and now we can't heal him. He's colicky, but he cries a lot too. We want to know if it's just because his fontanel is down, or is it just because a baby needs to cry.
Answer: A sunken fontanel is a sign of dehydration, you should take him to the doctor.

Question: what can I do to prevent cramps in my Tibialis Anterior muscles? I just started running 2 weeks ago, and last 2 times I went out I could only go for 1/2 mile and had to stop with cramps in my Tibialis Anterior muscles. I have read online about streching before and after running, but none of the streches described or articles I have read are for this muscle.
Answer: This is the same problem I have and I've given up running several times b/c of it. Here are some stretching exercised I found:
TOE RAISE:
Muscles worked: Anterior Tibialis
Instructions:
Stand upright with your toes over the edge of a raised surface.
Hold on to a wall or a bar for balance.
Only your heels should be on the edge with your toes extended as far out over the edge as you can.
Pull your toes upward toward your shins as far as you can, hold for a brief second feeling the contraction in your anterior tibialis muscle.
Your body should remain upright.
Slowly lower your toes to the starting position in a controlled manner.
Don'ts:
Don't allow too much of your foot to be standing on the edge. Be sure to only have your heel resting on the edge of the raised surface.

This workout is designed in two parts for two reasons. First, these muscles always function as a team, working in concert to stabilize your foot and support your weight to keep you upright and balanced. And second, because once you're in position in the workout, it's efficient to continue from one exercise to the next.
Before you begin, you're going to need to construct a piece of personal workout equipment. Take a long tube sock and stuff a 1-pound weight down into the toe. If you don't have a weight, you may use anything that weighs a pound and is small enough to fit.
Tie the sock onto your exercising foot by dangling the weight under the ball of your foot and threading the sock between your big toe and the toe next to it ("second metatarsal" for those who enjoy technical accuracy, and "the piggy who stayed home" for all the rest of us). It doesn't matter how far down the weight hangs, but make certain that you have plenty of sock left to loop around your foot. Continue to wrap by looping the end of the sock around the outside of your foot, under your arch and back up over the top of your foot. Then fasten it securely by tying under the top wrap. It's really simple.
Part 1
Sit on any surface that allows your thighs to be parallel to the floor, your knees to bend at 90-degree angles, and your feet and sock-weights to dangle well above the floor. Sit up straight and contract your abdominals to keep your torso stable. You might want to place a rolled towel underneath your knees. This padding will take pressure off the kneecaps (patellae). Also, any time you sit with your knees slightly higher than your tail bone (coccyx), you reduce stress on your back. Slightly separate your knees and feet. Point your toes down straight to the floor. This is the starting position. Now, slowly raise the front of your foot until you can go no further. Your heel will be down and your toes will be up. You'll feel contractions in the outside of your lower leg and the top of your foot. Hold for a moment and then slowly return to the starting position: toe pointed down.
Part 2
Maintain the same basic position, but this time you want to point your toe straight down and come up by sweeping your foot to the inside and pointing your big toe to the ceiling. It's a diagonal movement. You'll feel contractions in your arch and in the inside of your lower leg. Sweep back down until your big toe is pointing straight to the floor. Hold for a moment. Then continue the sweep up and to the outside as far as you can go. Again, this is a diagonal movement. You'll feel contractions in the outsides of your ankle and lower leg. Slowly return to the starting position: toe pointed down.
Managing Your Sets:
Ten of Parts One and Two combined constitute one set. There is no need to rest between sets unless you feel fatigued
