Question: Age Spots? Any suggestions as to what I can use to fade age spots on my face? Preferably something I can buy at Walmart or a drugstore. I live in a rural area and don't have a lot of shopping choices.
I have a history of psoriasis on my face, but haven't had an outbreak in about 15 years.
Answer: Try lemon juice, from a fresh cut lemon.
Also you can find many things in the beauty section at WalMart or a drugstore; look for something marketed as lightener and brighteners. Avon has a product if there is someone near you who is a rep. AND, of course, wear sunscreen to help prevent more of these spots:)

Question: Is it possible to get age spots on your hands when you are 17? All of a sudden I have like three freckle-looking spots on my hands and my friend said they aren't freckles because they are too light and that they are age spots.
My stepmom is 33 and she doesn't have any and my mom is 45 and she one. So it's weird, isn't it?
Answer: It is very unlikely they are age spots.
Freckles can be any shade they want to be.
Look at the freckles on your body, are they all the same color?
Of course not!
They are probably freckles, and nothing to be worried about.

Question: What is the very best way to get rid of or reduce age spots? hi
i am curious how everyone recommends to get rid of age spots - and what the best method is to reduce or rid of them, or brand of product, etc. (outside of covering them with makeup.) i hate my age spots!
thanks
Answer: Treating age spots require alot of time and effort. Here are 3 treatment options available...
1) Laser treatments - The energy from the laser is designed to selectively burn the dark skin patches where they turn darker temporarily.
Then they peel off and the process should work after one session. Don't go back if it doesn't work.
2) There is Retin A/hydroquinone prescription strength treatment called the Obagi Nu-Derm System. Within the first 3 weeks of this treatment, your face will be red, dry and peeling.
You can go out, but the irritation can show. The lines around the eyes will deepen and there will be an increase in the level of dryness. This can be cured with a lipid serum that is made for the eye area.
Changes can occur within 4 to 6 weeks with this system. Obagi Clear and Obagi Exfoderm Forte produce effective results.
3) A medium -depth peel (with an erbium laser or trichloric acid) may be an excellent option. This involves penetrating deep into the skin to mobilize the pigment changes.
This results in a perfectly even out skin tone. This process is perfect for any skin color.
If you have dark skin be very careful. You should go to an experienced medical doctor for skin peels and laser treatments.
The reason is that an inexperienced, unmedically trained person can leave permanent dark or light blotches on your skin.
Question: What is the best cream against age spots? What is the best cream for men against age spots on the backs of the hand and one that is also well worth the price?
Answer: No creams are going to do it. You will be wasting your money. Do an Answers Search and you will see many have tried every product and they have not worked.
You can quickly get rid of them by using either a hand held small loofah or, even better, a nylon fiber kitchen pan scrubber(the softer type) and dip in olive oil and once daily rub them over and over. Be careful not to overdo(it's OK if skin gets a bit reddened). They will be gone in about three or four days.

Question: Age spots is there a product out that that will fade these annoying spots on the face? in the last year my sister has developed like about 10 brown age spots on her face, some are small some are a bit larger. she has tried olay (prox) discoloration cream & now using just a cover up, her age is 59.
Answer: There are quite a few...but there are ones made for asian skins that seem to be most effective. I recommend trying one called 21 days - you can buy it on eBay.
Then of course there's 'fade out' cream and also the 'Olay - 7 signs of aging' one. But I think the ones made specifically as 'skin lightening creams' are going to be the most effective.

Question: How can I make age spots go away? Hi, if anybody knows of a good cream or any other methods to make brown age spots (or sun damage) on my face and hands to go away, please let me know. Thank you!
Answer: There are a lot of creams on the market that will promise to eliminate age spots, but I have found that there are very few that work well. One of the best that I have seen is Murad Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel. It targets unwanted discoloration. This patented gel formula combines glycolic acid with 2% hydroquinone and our patented Advanced Performance Complex™ to effectively fade age spots, freckles and hyperpigmentation for more even skin tone, clarity and brightness.
You can purchase this at www.skinstore.com and goes for $55.00 -1 oz. I purchase products from this site all the time and they are wonderful!!!
Question: How do you hide age spots/sun spots? Even with foundation I notice that the age spots are still visible.Using a thicker layer of foundation makes one look like a clown???Solution??
Answer: There's not a lot you can do to hide them, but there are some things you can do to fade them and keep them from getting worse. First, you need to wear a 30 spf suncreen ALL the time. This will help to keep them from darkening or from more appearing. Second, you can go to a Dermatologist for a prescription to help fade the spots.
Good luck!
Question: Is there any natural remedy for age spots? I have the worse age spots on my legs anyone can think of! Is there any natural way to get rid of them? I have beautiful legs and I think I look great with 45, but these age spots on my legs are taking all my confidence away to show my legs. However I don't want to lazer treat them or use harsh creams. Does anyone know a natural remedy to eliminate them?
Answer: True age spots are harmless and don't need treatment, but they can look like cancerous growths. For cosmetic reasons, age spots can be lightened with skin-bleaching products or removed. However, prevention — by avoiding the sun and using sunscreen — may be the easiest way to maintain your skin's youthful appearance and to avoid these dark skin spots.

Answer: I don't know if you've ever heard of Artistry or not but they have this stuff called Bright Idea illuminating Essence and it get's rid of age spots as well as other kinds of skin spots. My grandma uses it and loves it cuz she had a lot of sun damage and liver spots. It's guarenteed to work or they'll refund all of your money. You can't buy their products in stores but I can give you the direct link to the product so you can read all the info on it and decide if it's what you are looking for or not and if it is what you want this is where you can buy it also.

Question: What can you do about age spots? I am planning a wedding and would like to know what I can do to remove age spots.
Answer: you can get several treatments at a dermatologist or spa to help reduce age spots. Try a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments that target dark spots and destroy the pigment. These really work...do you ever watch 10 Years Younger on TLC? It makes a huge difference. Just call around to dermatologists and get pricing for this stuff. Also, call local esthetician schools in your area, a lot of times they do these procedures for much less, to give students a chance to practice.

Answer: you should go check with your dermatoligest to see what she recommends. If you aren't up for a doctors visit, go to the store, they have many things to get rid of spots like this.
